Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 i bet Sanchez is a guy who will eventually leave Toronto via DFA or Non Arb Become a reliever and be good at it.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Author Posted May 27, 2019 I think it's pretty clear at this point that there's not much use in continuing to try to find ways of dealing with it. He's going to have to change his grip (and possibly fastball type). Maybe Rich Hill will succeed in petitioning baseball to allow him to wear tape on his finger. If that happens, then maybe Sanchez has a shot at keeping his current repertoire. Yeah I mean if he had the whole offseason to rest (obv he must have trained, but still) and then it reopens after a few games for the 3rd year in a row then that’s game over.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Wow Jonathan Davis showing the pop! Good for him.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Davis!!! Nice!! I'm happy for him, he needed that
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Author Posted May 27, 2019 Wow Jonathan Davis showing the pop! Good for him. Yeah good to see, it must be Vlad’s turn next!
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 I think Davis will be a good piece and just needed some time.... I am also very happy for him! Plus I am biased towards speedy black guys who play CF and can catch the ball.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Just an observation... To add to our ever constant Sanchez discussion. I am watching on the local network- Rays broadcast. When they were introducing the starting pitchers, the Rays broadcasters were talking about Sanchez.. Basically, a run of the mill pitcher with fastball mid-90s change up etc... The point being, there is zero, perception that Sanchez is or will be cerca 2016... When you listen to the Rogers broadcast, it is like he is still potential ace if not for injuries and he is a top ML pitcher... Well to be fair, he still does have standout stuff. It's just more of a reliever repertoire. His Brooks summary is nice but it sounds like a power sinker/curve closer. Basic description of 2019 pitches compared to other RHP: His sinker has well above average velo and has slight armside run. His curve generates an extremely high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' curves, has sweeping glove-side movement and has a sharp downward bite. His fourseam fastball generates an extremely high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' fourseamers, has slight armside run and has slightly above average velo. His change is thrown extremely hard, has an obvious armside fade, results in somewhat more groundballs compared to other pitchers' changeups and has some natural sink to it.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Lets see if Vladdie can hit the 100mph heater. EDIT: he hit it hard, but right at the CF
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Another rocket from Vladdy and the outfielder barely has to move.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 What the s*** Vladito EV 107, xBA .820....that's 2 times this game over .750 xBA....both outs
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 what was the expect on base on that.

I think he is a reliever long term... Probably Thorton also..
Ex Player Verified Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 f***ing depressing Dude, this team isnt going anywhere this season. I knew that before the season started. Just watch and see how the rebuild unfolds, thats the only reason they are worth watching
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Yup, just par for the course when you're playing Tampa at the Trop.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 It's unreal how the luck can be so one sided when we visit this f***ing dump.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Blister doesn’t really do his finger justice, the original photos show it basically distorts his fingernail. Look how f***ed up it looks after he had part of the fingernail removed. NSFW: http://i.imgur.com/CFsUJem.jpg f*** me. Send that man to the ToeBro! Full disclosure - this video is f***ing gross.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Vladito's lineout had a higher xBA then that 420 FT HR lmao
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Seriously though - I've see the ToeBro permanently remove the toe nail from a woman who did Taekwondo(or something like that). Her big toenails were f***ed from all the kicking she did. So bad they would never grow back in properly so the ToeBro removed the nails and did something to prevent them from ever growing back. I wonder if that's an option? or does the nail provide some of the stability you need?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Gaviglio has imploded the last few outings
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Wow Kiermaier didn't get to a f***ing ball once, Gurriel just missed another HR by a few inches.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 What happened to Gaviglio He's Sam Gaviglio...what did you expect? You thought he'd morphed into stud reliever? That and he's probably been overused.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 He's Sam Gaviglio...what did you expect? You thought he'd morphed into stud reliever? That and he's probably been overused. Shades of Cito's abuse of Brian Tallet, circa 2009
