John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Another victory for the nerds! https://blogs.fangraphs.com/war-update-catcher-framing/ Notable Jays notes: Russell Martin is now a 54.6 career WAR catcher. Danny Jansen has been above average so far.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2019 Author Posted March 21, 2019 Late to the party, buddy. It should have its own thread. This is monumental info
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 JPA's career fWAR is now -1.1. History does not look kindly on the Pro-JP side of the Arenciba wars on the bjmb back in the day.

KevinGregg Verified Member Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Yadi is the Goat, Sal Perez actually sucks
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 I feel extra bad for guys like Dioner Navarro who went from a decent 5.6 career WAR to actually being below replacement at -1.6
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 As I said in the other thread, a lot of people made fun of JFaS on his framing value numbers. He was right all along, you know who are dumbasses! There's a reason he among a few others that used to post on here work for MLB FO's.

History does not look kindly on the Pro-JP side of the Arenciba wars on the bjmb back in the day. he did have a nice smile though. I've done well with predicting failed prospects for the Jays...but the ones I've slapped star labels on to have never really turned out either (TdA, Snider, Marisnick).
TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Which team does jfas work for? Marlins broadcaster. The job he was born to have. Edit...I read JPA. JFAs would make a horrible broadcaster.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 This will be a neat historical artifact when they finally introduce RoboUmps.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 In 2013-14, AA had Gomes, Mathis, TDA, and Kratz, but went with JPA, Navarro, and Thole.
