Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Author Posted March 9, 2019 Good to get a look at Shoemaker today
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Ugh, the feed from DK's live scoring is ahead of my satellite tv feed
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 That was interesting. They said Biggio got in a car accident a few days ago (he's fine), and one of the first people to see it and stop to help was Alford. Alford didn't know it was Biggio who was involved until he got out.

I hope he bounces back and has a great season.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Author Posted March 9, 2019 Kingery the post hype sleeper
Ray Verified Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Teoscar is mashing! Another 2 hits. He’s hitting .545 now.
Ray Verified Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 man Alford is on a tear... So are McKinney and Teoscar! Nice to see.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 What do you think about that Todd?
Smokinitup420 Verified Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 How can you seriously play pillar when e season starts when teoscar and alford are playing like this
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 What do you think about that Todd? I'm not an Alford hater but come on it's Spring Training. How many Springs do we have to go through where stories like this happen and never carry over to when it matters.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Author Posted March 9, 2019 pillar sucks he has to be 4, maybe 5 on the OF depth chart going into a rebuilding season

How many Springs do we have to go through where stories like this happen and never carry over to when it matters. Yeah the results are meaningless but he was a top 50 prospect prior to 2018 when he was recovering for a hamate bone injury (which can take a while to recover from). Defensively and on the base paths he will likely already be positive value, it’s just his bat that needs to follow. Worst case he’s probably Pillar, best case a lot better. I know Shatkins is probably waiting for value to come back before trading KP but this is what rebuilding teams hope for; young high upside prospects to break the door down. Don’t demote Alford if he keeps performing like this.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Lol, that pitch wasn't THAT far up and in.

Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I was just like to point out again: Rowdy ( I am somehow positively involved in all our wins since September) Tellez, is not getting enough credit.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 This game is really dragging ...
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I think Alford got rid of that disgusting hand movement that killed his power. Looks like his hands are still as he gets his foot down. I was always out on Alford because of all that hand movement in his swing. Throw in a slight upper cut to compliment his strength and you may have something.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Paulino made Hasely look awful on that curveball. His curveball in general today looks really good.
metafour Verified Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Paulino is nasty. Do we not see this guy as a starter long-term? He has 94, a hammer curve and was throwing right on right changes. Got a whiff on a change from Realmuto. Also had something else at 83, looked more like a slider. I wonder if he has more success as a starter with less fastball usage. He started a few batters with curveballs today. He has starter stuff but there is concerns regarding delivery/injury history which is why most project him as a reliever.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Author Posted March 9, 2019 Pillar to the O's for IFA money
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 pillar sucks he has to be 4, maybe 5 on the OF depth chart going into a rebuilding season Wishful thinking on your part, if he’s not traded he’ll be the starting CF.
