Pittsburgh Pirates closer Felipe Vazquez was arrested Tuesday on charges of pornography and soliciting a child, according to CBS Pittsburgh.

 

The charges stem from a warrant out of Lee County, Florida, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Vazquez, a resident of Florida, was arrested in Pittsburgh.

Pirates closer Felipe Vazquez has been arrested on charges of computer pornography, solicitation of a child, and one count of providing obscene material to minors.

 

Advice: Shocking and disturbing news. Vazquez was taken into custody in Pittsburgh on Tuesday morning on a felony warrant out of Lee County, Florida. According to information from police, an investigation began after word of a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl. The girl is now 15 years old and Vazquez continued to keep in contact via text message and videos, allegedly promising that they would meet up again after the season. Vazquez was taken to the Allegheny County Jail, where he's expected to be sent back to Florida to face the charges.
