Balls should NOT be leaving the playing surface I agree. Or just put up netting all around the OF so everyone has a safe space to enjoy the baseball game of their choosing.

I still love the stories about the bleacher bums racing along the top of the Wrigley Field fence - all for a free beer.......regularly falling onto the field in injuring themselves (sometimes requiring an ambulance to drive onto the field to clean them up). The solution? Add f***ing baskets on the field side of the fence to catch the bums and install a peak on top of the fence. At one point in our history - things were easier than they are today.

exactly. I said Mike Trout as well. Ohtani has a unique skill set by virtue of the fact that he can pitch, hit, throw, etc., but Mike Trout is arguably the best positional baseball player of the modern era.

 

Mariano Rivera is the best reliever of all time. Does the fact that he can't throw with his left hand as well make Pat Venditte more talented at baseball? lol
