Pardinho, SWR and Manoah will probably be 2021 in some fashion I think

It's possible, but Pardinho has 24 innings in A ball, Woods-Richardson has 78, and Manoah has 1 in A-. I don't think it's at all unreasonable to project a full season between A and A+ next year, perhaps with SWR hitting AA for half the year in 2020, then AA and AAA in 2021. They may get cups of coffee then, but 2022 seems reasonable just considering where they are and where they need to get to.

Of course, they could utterly dominate and move that timeline up.

SWR is 19. I think for him 2023+

He and Pardinho should be in AA next season at some point if all goes well. AAA in 2021...once in AAA the Majors could happen at any time

2021 probably a best case type of scenario. 2022 most likley and 2023 and beyond if it didnt go as planned

He's in A+ and advanced as a pitcher. If he's as good as the Jays believe him to be he'll be at worst in A+ all of 2020, AA for 2021 and cup of coffee in 2022.

I don't think 2021 is out of the question if he's truly a top talent but that would be unlikely to expect.

Jays just promoted him to Dunedin. He's getting fast tracked unless he hits a wall or gets injured.

Hey guys, hope everyone is well.

I've been away for a long time as I've dealt with a lot since early last year and baseball couldn't be a priority anymore in my life then.

That said, can someone fill me in on the payrolls for 2020 at this point? We must be on the lowest end of committed contracts minus Tulo (lol)

Welcome back!

Tulo and Grichuk are the only significant guaranteed contracts at $14m and $12m (Gurriel is $2.5m).

Galvis has a $5.5m option.

Everyone else is arbitration or pre arbitration. Giles is going to be the highest paid of those players, but unless his arm falls off he'll be traded in the offseason.

So yeah, payroll flexibility shouldn't be an issue!

This is a good read.

Mckinney is a bust for sure. Drury they will bring back even though he should be gone.

Drury is hot I really wanted him to work out.

Only 3ER according to MLBFarm.

The old 3+ WHIP...welcome to the org.

I love it when our GM says I don't give a s*** about other teams and sites prospect rankings. We bellieve in our own.

Exceot when our GM is dogshit and couldn't hold a job writting for these publications.

How is the J.A. Happ trade working for us??!!

This is such ******** man.

Look at the market for OK rental pitchers. The A's just got Roark for Jameson Hannah - a 21 year old OFer who's posting a 103 wRC+ in A+ ball. He's a 45 FV player, now ranked as Cincy's 10th overall prospect. There's a good chance he never plays in the majors. Roark posted 1.8 WAR at the time of the trade, while Happ posted 1.9 WAR when the Jays dealt him last year. Both were FA's at the end of the year.

We got Drury, who was coming off a 1.1 WAR season. Versatile player and McKinney, who was once somewhat touted, just changed his swing.

The probability that Drury and McKinney are nothing is relatively high. The probability that Jameson Hannah is nothing is relatively high. That's what you get for that type of player. If a GM makes 4 trades like this, he might 'hit' on them once. Atkins 'hit' on A.Diaz already. Let's hope he can 'hit' a few more times...but that's the reality we're in.

So my assumption is the Jay's give Fisher a long look, so Teo suffers?

They'll probably rotate guys through the DH rather than recall Rowdy, so all four main outfielders will likely get lots of starts.

Good point, makes sense. Not sure where that leaves Galvis though

Question

What would Edwin Encarnacion have to do from this point to become a hall of famer. He would definitely go in as a Bluejay. Is it just the matter of hitting 90 homeruns?

Primarily a DH, below avg D... He would need a few more big years Imo.
