I wore my Vladdy jersey to the bar tonight, loooooooots of people who know f***ing nothing about baseball. They were excited that we got "three players" for Pillar, so... the quality of the players didn't seem to matter.

You should walk up to one of these guys in the bar that's perhaps with a lady friend and tell him that you're gonna f*** his girl tonight...and then he can f*** her later. Quantity is clearly his criteria for success. He can thank you later.

She tries, she enjoys the games but my dad is one of those "if a professional athlete is making more than minimum wage, the entire world is wrong!" kind of guys, so her watching games with him is dealing with him bitching and complaining about everything the entire time.

Does anybody see front office resigning Brandon Drury like they did with Grichuk today?

 

Doubt it as things stand right now, but a great year could certain change that.

 

Stroman would be the likely guy imo.

I think Drury can be an everyday player, but I'm not sure it's going to be for the Blue Jays. I'm pretty high on him, hence I got Drury as one of my two 'new legit guys', but I'm not sure about his fit long term.

 

We have too many infield prospects on the way up (esp. 3B) so unless Vlad falls off a cliff defensively I don't see it. He could move to 2B but we also have guys like Bichette, Biggio on the cusp that need playing time, along with Gurriel. Kevin Smith is also on the way up, it's possible him and Bichette will split time in SS/2B.

Yeah Drury is likely to stay at third because there's no one pushing him at that spot. Oh wait, there's that kid. What's his name...Voldemort..no..no...Vlad...Yeah that's the kid. I think that guy might actually take over at third pretty soon. I think Drury might be destined to play second.

Drury has 3 more years of control after this year. Even if he broke out this year there is no real reason to sign him long term. Grichuk had a year after this one, so they had to make a decision with him one way or another (sign him or trade him).

I was messing around on Fangraphs and noticed that Justin Verlander and Roy Halladay have extremely similar career numbers. Outside of K and BB%
