What are you vindicated about?

The sooner Pillar is DFA'd, the sooner he can get back to banging Jim's wife while Jim records it all.

From BA

Anthony Alford, OF, Blue Jays

Scout’s Take: "He looks insanely good. I know he’s had health issues, but to me the issue with him has always been balancing his approach and the fact that he does draw walks with some aggressiveness. He has just not missed pitches in the strike zone this spring, and he’s hit them a long way. He hit three home runs the last couple of days. It feels like each one is farther than the next one. The thing is I don’t know where he fits for them. I’m not sure what kind of trades the Blue Jays are talking about making or what their plans are, but if I were Teoscar Hernandez, I’d be worried. Because Teoscar Hernandez is similar tools, but he’s getting a little bit more expensive and he’s just a lesser defender . . . All of their veteran outfielders, (Randal) Grichuk, (Kevin) Pillar, they should be wary because Anthony Alford just looks better than all of them.”

Vindicated

Poor Todd.

Stroman's dealing again today! Perfect through 3 with 4 K's.:)

Rowdy with 2 hits.

Now through 4 with 5 K's, minus his error. Excellent stuff

They had a 14oz beer until 2016 ($7) and no one ever bought it.

I just read the actual release from the team. There will be 1 stand on each level where everything is $5. Obviously it's going to small sizes for most things but overall I like this concept. No more families asking "how much is this?" and then having little Billy cry cause Dad is too cheap to shell out $7 for a bag of peanuts.

One stand per level?? I'll pay a bit extra not to waste an hour/ three innings in line. I'm sure that's part of their strategy anyways. Generally I try to avoid buying beer at sporting events.

Dude, I am no cheapskate, but $7 is a lot for a bag of peanuts here in America.. I can go to Texas Road House 5 mins away from my house and eat barrels and barrels of peanuts for free... and free refill on my sodas!!

Of course I understand that due to the perma freeze of the tundra in Canada, you are not able to grow your own peanuts.. Then you have import taxes, GST, PST, probably need an inspection tax to make sure the peanuts are gender neutral or representative of females, and indigenous groups.. Then the manufacture has to re-package them with French wording and probably change the American English to the Queens English..

Actually, now that I think of it.. $7 Cdn or ($2.25 USD) is not that bad a price for a bag of peanuts after all that..

My bad...

I see hypertension and diabetes in your future based on the sheer volume of peanut and soda consumption. You’ll have more in common than not with the majority of Americans!

That's my point, well the line-ups, I'm there to watch ball.

I have actually been on a low-carb diet for almost a year.. I can get away with nuts, but only Coke Zero etc... No regular soda.. I only drink Whiskey (no-carbs) and the occasional low-carb beer.

I guess if I am really worried about my health, I should be more like Canadians and eat Poutine covered in globs of gravy for sport, chug real maple syrup daily and drink beer with nothing less then 6.5% alcohol.. Oh!, and Eskimo Ice Cream Bars, since they were invented by the Canadian Eskimo..

Canadians aren’t the ones with an obesity epidemic but I digress

Well, over 1 in 4 Canadians are obese, so I wouldn't go THAT far. The US has us beat (in a bad way) by a significant margin though.

I believe its 1 in 2 Americans

In before someone tries explaining to me why BMI isn't an accurate indication of health.

BMI is a s***** indicator for individual health. It should be common sense.

As a population indicator though, it's pretty good.

Looks like Paulino and Giles got a little heated doing some defensive drills... Latino rook vs. Gringo Veteran.. Begin!

https://www.sportsnet.ca/

Shades of Papelbon.. I like ;) This is one example where to Stroman's point some veteran presence is needed..

100%. Anyone who laughs at having veterans around citing vetrin presents as their reasoning really doesn’t understand the dynamic of building a team.

Good on Giles for taking the lead and who the f*** is David Paulino to think he can take the option on PFPs? I guarantee guys like Scherzer and Kershaw don’t take the option on fundamental drills like this. Why? Because they understand leading by example and the importance of doing the little things properly and with intent.

Canadian Eskimo..

Canadian's don't have Eskimo's (except for a poorly named football team in Edmonton). Eskimo's are in Alaska only.

I haven't read the whole story, but if it was Paulino being lazy or feeling entitled, then Giles did the right thing.

SRF talking about it was fantastic. Now that's leadership!

For those that don't want to listen

They were discussing book bags. Ken has a Louis Vuitton and David is a Gucci guy. In the end they realized both are really good bags

Then he disappointed in saying he's not an analytical guy and saying he's not going desert a pitch because the spin rate isn't good as long as he's getting outs. Cavan Biggio's discussion how it's like a buffet with all the Data and using the coaches that can explain the data to see what flavour works for you. That's the kind of conversation I'd rather hear. Great story from Cavan was how he was getting pitch info and he disputed the location. They argued with him but for 3 or 4 days he continued to dispute it. Then Trackman sent New Hampshire a message saying the camera was off by 2 inches. I'd say Cavan has a good eye.

Your telling me that my perception since I was a child that these were made by Eskimos in Canada is wrong.... :( Dude, this is like telling a kid Santa Clause doesn't exist....
