Meh, no ump is going to get to the perfect angle on that one. He is right that the fan hit the glove...Let the camera angles decide if the fan is over the fence.

Seem to remember a certain bearded fan reaching into the playing area in KC in 2015 ALCS on a ball hit by Moose - called a home run anyway.

So if its closer to a catch on the ball its an out? According to West's eyes and MLB.

In hindsight we now know the loss wasn’t dependent on that fan’s catch, so much as who was choking...sorry...pitching on the mound that game....

I got to say from this image it looks like that white shirt to the interferer's left is obviously over the fence (his belly is even over the fence). The guy interfering appears to be even more on the field.

This angle tells a different story imo.

It's actually pretty unbelievable that they called that interference, ridiculous.

They want the Red-Sox in the World Series... Good for Business. Astros being in again the very next year wouldn't be ideal for ratings.

That was an extremely easy call to make. I was in disbelief when they called it interference.

You need baserunners Astros...WTF was that?!??! No need to risk second base there.

Betts had to turn around, off balance, and throw a perfect blind throw to 2nd to even have a shot. Probably a 1 in 100 play by Betts.

They don't have to get it all back this inning. If he gets second, he can score without a hit. Obviously it turned out poorly, but I don't think it was a terrible decision, just a terrible result.

All true but he has to have sense to know that the top of the order is coming up behind him.

And that’s part of the beauty of Baseball...both Omar and Abomination are right...and passionate debates can go on!
