5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Man, that call was criminal. Betts was clearly reaching over the fence. MLB just has a boner for the idea of the Red Sox facing the Dodgers in the World Series.
Atlas Verified Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Like I said...based on THAT pic. What pic did you see? I’d love to see it. Saw the side angle shot of the security guard blocking the view too. But doesn’t this feel like the “Bat Flip” game? I mean, there’s no way the Astros aren’t going to let those first two Boston runs be the difference now?
Atlas Verified Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Although...based on that bunt....sheesh!
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 All sox so far in Houston. This blows.

DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Joe Wests chin scares me.

MLB just has a boner for the idea of the Red Sox facing the Dodgers in the World Series. Has nothing to with bias, has to do with the stupid way that replays are handled. Checking to see if the call on the field is correct is stupid, because umps are stupid and make wrong calls all the time. Had it been called a HR on the field, the replay would also be inconclusive and it would have stood as a HR They should only look to verify 100% if the batter/runner is conclusively out. If they can't he's safe.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Maldanado has money on the Sox... Man, he's been TERRIBLE this series... I thought he was known for his defense.

West was in no position to possibly say whether there was interference or not. Whatever his call was should've been meaningless once they went to the review. Bottom line, it was a crap call. Something that shouldn't be tolerable in the playoffs.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Springer loves the post season.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Maldonado with another easy f***up, what is with elite defensive catchers being s*** in this postseason? It's happening with so many, I feel like there may be something different with the balls.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 It's actually pretty unbelievable that they called that interference, ridiculous.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 It's actually pretty unbelievable that they called that interference, ridiculous. It is...I dont understand why MLB is do bad at this.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Another bad call on the Sox favour.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 The umps are giving the Red Sox everything.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 It's actually pretty unbelievable that they called that interference, ridiculous. plexiglass all around the stadium.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 This inning should be over.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Now that was an unreal throw, what a missile.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 plexiglass all around the stadium. Better umpires in the stadium.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 It's actually pretty unbelievable that they called that interference, ridiculous. You'd think that MLBAM would be able to create better camera angles to catch every angle. I suppose that would quickly make it no longer a billion dollar asset as that would be expensive with no actual return. But still their angles are s***.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Seem to remember a certain bearded fan reaching into the playing area in KC in 2015 ALCS on a ball hit by Moose - called a home run anyway. So if its closer to a catch on the ball its an out? According to West's eyes and MLB.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Better umpires in the stadium. Meh, no ump is going to get to the perfect angle on that one. He is right that the fan hit the glove...Let the camera angles decide if the fan is over the fence.
