TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 How was the view/experience from up there? It's interesting (cool) but I wouldn't pay for it. My friend stays there for all of his work trips and they gave him a field view upgrade. There are two uncomfortable bar chairs where you watch through the open window...but those are the only two that can see out the open window (a nice comfy chair you could see out the closed window). I would say it's best for 2 people not the 4 they advertise. We were in the very last room with a view (right field foul pole) and there are seats right in front of you. They were empty of course (as was the entire section in front of us) but it would be a little weird IMO if it were a full house. Much like being in a box, when there is an interesting play you get the 7 second delay and watch it closer on TV. Was nice to have 8 tall boys and not have it run us up over $100, not to mention we got our brands of choice.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Wow. Basic 2 hopper to 1st and Tellez boots it to score 2 unearned runs....
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Routine plays...our defense is freaking awful once again lol
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Castillo's fastball doesn't LOOK like it's 99.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Pure luck. Anyone can hit 99mph fastballs in the low/away part of the zone out.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 And now the ump is blind again. SRF has to throw middle middle to get a strike called. Yeah he's struggling with command but come on blue. 2 hitters in a row he paints the corners for what should be strike 1 and he doesn't get the call.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 His breaking stuff isn't even close right now. Hitters don't even need to think about it. On the plus side, they can't square up the fastball either
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 If the wind wasn't so strong today, that's probably a homer.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 BeeKs and SRF are really killing my K to BB ratio right now. Luckily I was already losing that category
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 If only SRF could harness his stuff more consistently. It's so nasty.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 If only SRF could harness his stuff more consistently. It's so nasty. Very much so. Hopefully a new pitching coach can get something out of him. I think it's about time for Walker to move on.

I couldn't agree more. What, in your opinion, is the reason Houston can get so much out of their pitchers? Coaching, better application of analytics, witchcraft?? Maybe a bit of everything? Whatever they're doing, and Cleveland, for that matter, I hope we can replicate it.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 That slider is so good, great sequencing from SRF and McGuire.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Three homers in a row. Not bad I guess.

Better analytics and coaching for sure, with a side of cheating
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Three homers in a row. Not bad I guess. Not even a cookie, was on the very upper/inner corner. Another fluke HR that went 400+ feet
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Lol Grichuk just fluked another 450+ foot bomb too, outer edge!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Can we get BeeKs out of the game before he craters my ERA for the Week? Actually, f*** it, let's see Teoscar go yard first. I've got DeGrom and Cole balancing things out tonight
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Holy f*** that was f***ing destroyed. I've never seen a line drive shot end up in the flight deck.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Holy f*** that was f***ing destroyed. I've never seen a line drive shot end up in the flight deck. 464 feet apparently.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Ouch that was ugly, Rowdy
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 450 and 415 for LGJ... 464 for Grichuk!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 464 feet apparently. At 21 degrees, a damn missile!
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 If this team can pitch next season we gonna have some fun!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 I had to watch that Grichuk s*** again. Holy f*** that was crushed
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 If this team can pitch next season we gonna have some fun! Are AA and Shatkins on speaking terms? Would be nice to pick up 1 or 2 of Atlanta's surplus pitching
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 He looks out actually.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 He looks out actually. That last replay was cool, like a photo finish. Definitely out by a hair
