My best seeing Josh Donaldson IRL moment was at the Innisbrook Golf club at Palm Harbour in 2016 for the Celeb Pro am. He drove the ball probably 350 yards off the tee then threw his club in the air bat flip style smacked his chest and said "Gimme some of dat, Lets Go". He was playing with Graham Delaet and all he did was laugh. He even stood around and signed autographs for everyone afterwards.

 

Another great moment was in Spring Training this year during BP when no hardly any fans were in the stadium and after he hit a HR he yelled "You can putttt it on the boarddddddd, YES"

 

Not sure I've seen someone with as much confidence as him lol.

 

That type of behavior isn't what I'd describe was confidence. Grown men who need attention like that are typically insecure and screaming for help. That - or they are just natural born douche bags....its a thin line sometimes.

It's a game, nevermind BP in Dunedin, sounds like he was entertaining, having fun, God Forbid?

Throwing your driver in a pro-am tournament is pretty cringy Spank. To me that isn't confidence.

He seemed genuine....gonna miss JD.

 

Unless he's the best actor ever, and I saw his work on Vikings and he isn't, JD truly loves TO, Canada, the fans, and his time with the Blue Jays. I don't know about his relationship with Atkins, and don't care at this point. I will wear my Donaldson jersey with pride. And I hope for Cleveland to meet the Yanks in the playoffs to see EE and JD blow this s*** out of that f***ing team. I will wear my jersey as they do it.

Meh. I'm just not one for people who need to show off like that. I dont think that's a sign of confidence. That's all I was trying to say.

The Jays got a player for basically two weeks and a post season run of Donaldson (assuming he's healthy enough to play).

 

Based on what Atkins said the ptbnl is already agreed upon but can't be named yet due to the rules (Merryweather is hurt/can't pass through waivers), so assuming it's him, if he turns into anything, that's a huge win for the Jays.

That stuff about the return related to health that is still on MLB trade rumors is BS. Atkins shot that down and the PTBNL is set.

Why did they have activate him the first place is the real question. Did the rules suggest he had to be activated if traded. I don't really understand this one at all.

Yes, a player has to be on the active roster by midnight the 31st. Or was on the active roster prior and is on the DL.

Isn't Cleveland based out of Arizona? So now he has to go to Arizona for rehab.. I bet he is hating that..

 

My bad, I guess he is just going to AAA Columbus. I thought he was going to Cleveland's version of Dunedin.. Team/facility.

Atkins confirmed the deal is not pending on Donaldson's health or performance. They've already agreed upon a player.

He's played like 2 (rehab games) since May or whatever. There's no conspiracy, he really does need the couple weeks.
