Pretty sure we all agree that this is our best one so far.

Activate the board Twitter and use it to promote the show. Tweet during games and get in arguments with dumb fans and then tell them to check out the podcast.

also, thanks for the kind words. I also don't think it's a coincidence that we felt the most comfortable with John hosting. He's waaaaaay better at it than I am. Should have been an obvious choice from the beginning given his background but at least we recognized it early.

I don't know. I don't post there. But it's pretty busy, and you might pick up at least a few new listeners who enjoy the show.

The thing with that is we'd probably need to maintain a presence there and that's just something I'm not at all interested in. Also the fact that we like Gibby and Shatkins will probably turn a lot of those people off.

 

I mean, we should do it anyway...it's just such a cesspool.

The Jays Reddit isn't that bad. They've got some decent posters who would likely enjoy the podcasts.

 

If you really want some hate listeners just post a few links in the SN comments. I'd help with the O's hangout but weams banned me for calling out Firestones BS.

Alan is the Baltimore Orioles of Radio Scouts podcast hosts.

 

I like the change to John as lead because he has such a sweet radio voice (but terrible ranter). However, it means less Boxy which is almost always my favourite part of the show.

I didn't catch that live but heard it during my first playback last night. It has to be and it's really just so fantastic.

Loved the podcast, I think you guys know how good it is.

 

If I can say anything, as someone who listens to a lot of podcasts (Joe Rogan, At The Letters, Generation Why, Startalk)

 

You might want to edit out the gaps. There are just too many gaps, where you don't have any discussion. I think you have too many people on the podcast at the same time, and that takes away, because no one knows when to talk. I dont think there is anything wrong with the material, knowledge, understanding of baseball, these are all there. There is software that will trim these gaps for you, and I dont think they cost much.

 

Edit: I mean to say that when you have that many people on the podcast, then you are liable to have gaps because people may not know when to talk, vs. two people having a conversation. Thats why you need to use the software that will just trim the gaps, and make it sound like a smooth 4 way Convo.
