Boxy has like 7 cats so there is almost always one meowing.

The name of the Blue Bombers team came from then a young (now legendary) Winnipeg sports writer Vince Leah. Playing a 1936 exhibition game against the University of North Dakota, Leah remarked in an article that, “These are the Blue Bombers of Western football”.

 

The phrase was in part referenced from then heavyweight boxing champion Joe Louis who was known as the "Brown Bomber".

 

From that day, the Winnipeg Football Club has been known as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Contrary to some TV and local radio commercials, no beer company had any part in naming the team.

You could hear Mike's heart ripping apart as Nick says "worst article ever"

 

It was so many subjects that could have used Boxy (Bregman extension, Bold Predictions and Sleepers). His absolutes on these subjects would have been a welcome addition.

As for your comments about the IL. ESPN had a similar conversation and Sutcliffe admitted they had over 50 reminder emails and a training session about not calling it the DL.
