But he didn't throw a no hitter. He threw a turd.

The lengths people are going in order to discredit Tercet is truly remarkable.

My point is that tercet has gone full Todd as it pertains to SRF. Was he s*** today? You bet. But his disdain has been going on for a long time, even with SRF's strong play in AAA this season.

Uhh I simply said he would get his face melted when he came to the majors and guess what has happened?

Like 20 of you just insulted me every time I mentioned that SRF isn’t good. Most of them just looked at his milb stats line without ever watching him pitch and just assume those stats would translate.

Maybe all of you guys can learn to stop being idiots? Don’t worry back in the day I was like you guys with Rzep, Mills, Magnusson, Farina, etc

Might have relief potential if he ever gets some command. Given that consistent command is generally the toughest part of pitching, I'm not too optimistic. Dude is DOA pitching like this in the American League East. Jansen is intriguing though.

You realize tercet's whole argument for why SRF will fail is that he saw him once in a preseason game in early March right? As if scouting wasn't stupid enough, tercet of all people is certainly the last guy you'd trust over objective minor league performance.

Org are you spankys second account or what?

You realize you don’t have to be against 100% of my posts?

Kind of a combination of everything sinking him today, just ok command, tipping the offspeed stuff, bad defense, rookie baserunning errors, stupidly inconsistent strike zone.

He's pitching better than his line indicates IMO, but still not a good effort.

Severino is pitching like trash but has everything going his way conversely, largely due to the fact that jays hitters are garbage

How you figure?

So the second start was a lot more promising even if he suffered from many of the same faults as the first one. The strikeouts were there, the fastball looks like an easy plus pitch even when he's not commanding it properly. I'd say the command of his secondaries were his biggest issue on this one, he couldn't consistently place the breaking balls down and the changeup while he threw a few decent ones was often flat and elevated. The fastball command absolutely must get better, but he's shown that it's a good enough pitch where even if he misses spots hitters have a tough time with it.

The end result is a decent 4.37 xFIP at Yankee Stadium, with poor command and some bad luck leading to inflated FIP and ERA. Could be a lot worse for his second time in the bigs, the elite reliever potential is alive and well, but we'll be hoping for him to turn it around his next few starts as he gets more experience at the highest level.

Fair.

The podcast talking about the West Wildcard team being the Yankees victim raised some eyebrows for me (not actually as I've lost ability to control my facial muscles). 1. I don't think they will pitch Severino in it unless it works out that Tanaka can't go. 2. Yanks are just 3.5 up on Oakland/Houston right now. A road game will be terrible for them. I got them at 52% to get out of the wildcard game.

As for SRF. He gets Spring to prove he belongs but as long as he has options he's got to have a short leash. If he doesn't react well and make the improvements they need from him...it's time to concentrate on two pitches and look at the 8th inning role for him.

Find 5 examples of posters (dumb or not) claiming SRF would be good this year, not ridiculing you got being retarded. You can’t

His body and arm speed were noticeably slower when throwing the offspeed stuff. If I had any talent in video side by side editing, I would put it together and show it.

It was more pronounced on his slider, which probably partially explains why his slider is slower than his changeup, which seems really weird to me.

Fair enough, I'll look for it now. That was my biggest problem when I pitched.

Debut it on the Radio Scouts by Boxy describing it while watching video.

That's the best you could think of this time around?

Does it get boring trolling every post of mine and being wrong every single time?

Whatever floats your boat.

Never noticed the slower arm action JH, RR had that when he first came up. But in all honesty does it really matter for SRF? He has no clue where any of his pitches are going.

FTR I said Oakland would win. It was Dinger who dismissed everyone but the Yankees, because that's what he does.

I see a whole lot of similarities between SRF and Kopech. Especially in their delivery.

That's bait.
