What a conundrum that poor kid is sandwiched in. Way before the draft we talked about this, personally through a work to sport, is redonkulous.

Has there been any discussion as to why OSU gave him a chance? MLB teams are obviously worried about the PR nightmare surrounding this kid - but OSU gave him a shot - seemingly with no major issues.

 

Personally, I have no idea what the right answer is, but I am surprised that some team didn't use this as an opportunity to simply state they believe in rehabilitation and second chances and are willing to give the kid a shot. They will give him some additional help, monitor him closely and have told him they'll give him a shot - but that he has a very short leash. If he f***s up - he's gone.

I think no one wants to make pedophiles multi-millionaires. The US already elected one.

 

And there should be some sort of rehabilitation program because no one who is a pedophile would ever be able to go to a hospital and admit it and ask for help. Some European countries are making it safe to admit and seek treatment but the US isn't there on most any medical/psychological issue - you can see movies with mass slaughters but see a Janet Jackson Boob and the whole country has a s***.

 

But there is a difference between having a deviant sexual attraction and acting upon those feelings. He likes kids, some people like feet, boobs, and Trump likes being peed on. Great - whatever - but this person acted on it. And that's what separates people who fantasize about weird crap and psychopaths who use other people to gratify themselves over the feelings of others.

 

And you know right from wrong at 10 years old - so all the BS about him being a kid is crap.
