Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 Even if Gift has a statistically nice game, please never call him one of the players of the day. It's triggering.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 Bo Bichette is kinda in a tailspin.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 Vladdy's line in May: .468/.511/.805/1.317
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 Bichette was never in the same category as Vlad. They just got lumped together because they moved together, and because they both have MLB dads.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 What does Romano need to do to get respect on this board..? You guys threw some valid stats at me last time I asked this question. However, the guy keeps on performing, game after game at his level....and at the end of the day he has a .207 era and is avg 6 plus innings..

His xfip of 3.97 is right around where his skill level says he is. Still looks like an AAAA pitcher, maybe turns into a half decent #5.

Age/level isn't as important for pitchers IMO, but it's still important. 25 in AA with incredible BABIP luck on his side right now doesn't paint a very rosy picture for his potential as a major league starter. As far as his ERA goes... yeah... .187 babip is astronomically lucky, even as a flyball pitcher.
