Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Nat's call up 19 year old Juan Soto to the majors. sigh....unzips.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Only 8 games in AA and he gets a callup--it shows how depleted the Nats OF is of depth. Along with Kendrick, they also have Eaton, Robles, Bautista on the DL as well, and they don't exactly want to touch Moises Sierra again.. it's a mess.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Soto getting his first start tonight.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 picked him up in my auction league for 1 dollar. LETS GO

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Must watch for those with shares. Quickest rise through the minors since A-Rod.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Could work though. A lot of guys take time to adjust as they go up levels, but not this kid. Doesn't seem to make any difference to him what level he plays at.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Predictions on the next teenager to be called up to the majors?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Quickest rise through the minors since A-Rod. you want him in 3 leagues? gimme trout for him in BORED.

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 you want him in 3 leagues? gimme trout for him in BORED. If you bring up anything close to this again I’m going to give you a timeout from posting.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 you want him in 3 leagues? gimme trout for him in BORED. You're going to need to include a small late pick upgrade. Send the offer on yahoo and include the pick upgrade in the notes.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 If you bring up anything close to this again I’m going to give you a timeout from posting. ha ha, not bloody likely
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Should have traded Osuna for Soto last year when we had the chance (maybe). The Nats pen sucks every year. Oh well.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 ha ha, not bloody likely I'm in a trading mood JimBob. Send me an offer for Dennis Santana.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Soto getting his first start tonight. Soto first start + Tiny Tim save watch. Nats games are must see TV
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Should have traded Osuna for Soto last year when we had the chance (maybe). The Nats pen sucks every year. Oh well. And JD, Pillar, and Happ. Jays would be so much better off... instead this wing and a prayer of a season.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 I applaud the Nats for this. But they are in a much different situation than us. They need to win this year. They need to do everything to try to convince Bryce Harper to resign which includes making bold aggressive moves like this. Considering he already has excellent plate discipline he will probably be able to hold his own and get on base when he slumps.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Should have traded Osuna for Soto last year when we had the chance (maybe). The Nats pen sucks every year. Oh well. Vlad and Soto would be one heck of a back to back in the lineup.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Predictions for Soto PA #2? I'll say - Strikeout on 5 pitches
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Soto just hit an oppo bomb off a lefty starter.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
