P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 So Gaviglio was a nice, little acquisition.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 For f***'s sake Luis Rivera. He killed us once again.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Rivera's a Tard! Yeah, forcing them to make a perfect play is one thing, but Solarte was only scoring if they made a massive mistake.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Louie Rivera strikes again. Solarte was rounding 3rd as the SS got the ball lol.
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Morales and Rivera are destroying this season
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Jays pitching getting some calls now, finally.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Faack! Taylor made DP. Geeze... FU Rivera!
M.E. Verified Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Rivera had to send him with 2 outs and Morales coming to bat
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 nOt pInCh rUnNiNg fOr mOrAlEs yep, it's like stacking the odds against ourselves.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 They cant manufacture a run to save their lives... K after K after K, or pop-up...
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Author Posted May 13, 2018 Could easily have won today
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Also JD looks like still has a "bum" arm... what was the point of him going on the DL? I think so too. Given the situation, Vlad at 3B and Josh at DH makes too much sense. Vlad continues to tear up AA. I think the kid deserves a chance. It would definitely be an upgrade for the current roster.

5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 I don't see it as "burning a year" There's been a lot of kids who have debuted at 19 over the years. I think the team is good enough that they can be in the hunt for the wildcard and the kids tearing it up in the minors. I feel like if the player is ready for the big leagues, that there isn't much sense in thinking 6 years down the line because who knows what the situation will be then. It's not as if the Jays are the Tampa Bay Rays. Toronto has deep pockets, so if they like what they see they should be able to sign him to an extension. If anything, if the kid is ready and the Jays call him up, it will be a sign of goodwill that could go a long way in future negotiations. If the Jays were just s*** this year, then I wouldn't see the purpose, but they've looked like a decent team. We can't expect the starters to struggle like they have been. I think they'll straighten it out and the offensive pop that Vladdy offers could really help carry the club. I feel like it's worth a shot. I would wait till the beginning June to make the call though. See how the kid does for the rest of the month.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 That's where we differ... This team is not good.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Well, they're not playing like they are lately... I'll give you that!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 That's where we differ... This team is not good. I think getting Vlad up and Morales gone would be a signal they are trying to compete this year, but unless the pitching turns a corner soon, it won't matter how much they score, so dumping Kendrys for Jr doesn't move the needle in any case.

What needle? Of course it does, but at what cost.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 What needle? Of course it does, but at what cost. I mean scoring an extra run or so every other game doesn't matter when your pitching staff gives up 5+ every game
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 That's where we differ... This team is not good. I don't understand how anyone can watch baseball and think this team is any good It's not it's really not. It had potential at the start of the year but certain realies such as Morales rebounding Sanchez and Stroman being top line pitchers Estrada and Garcia being passable These things did not come to fruition. Therefore this team isn't any good
