If they are I wonder how the salary would work as I believe he is still being paid at the moment.

Take the money back, or start the suspension as entailed. If I'm not mistaken they did the former in the past, the club shouldn't be penalized.

I wonder if they'll offer him an option to return all the salary from his paid leave in exchange for every game during that previously paid leave counting as time served, in a way. Hell, I don't even know if they can. I mean, I don't know enough about the CBA to know if that's even legal.

Silly.

If he gets a suspension he’ll be given the option to backdate it to cover the administrative leave, and yes he’d have to pay back his salary. It’s what happened to Reyes

he could pull out his credit card and retain a good criminal lawyer in Toronto if he's on a pro contract

He's not getting paid any of that this season with him being suspended.

Pretty sure he's not.

2. Player Status on Administrative Leave. While on Administrative Leave, a Player shall continue to receive the salary and Major League service to which he otherwise would be entitled but for his placement on Administrative Leave.

Hearing now there’s an MLB decision coming today on Roberto Osuna’s spousal abuse case. Suspension is expected. Length unknown.

Under 82 for sure, I still think around 30. Hard to tell we hear from Osuna camp that he denys any wrong doing and from other sources that throw out vague terms like "significant".

There's a video of the alleged attack. I'm guessing 80 games.
