If the $500 can't be used for direct upgrades, maybe we could use it as prize funds for a few competitions to drum up interest in the forum. Yesterday's GDT had only 3 pages and a lot of the comments were about this bet.

 

We could pick a player each month for the rest of the season, and give $100 to the poster who gets closest with a OPS prediction at the end of the month. Any of Travis / Donaldson / Martin / Pillar / Tulo (if he comes back) / the September call ups could be used.

 

It could make the season a bit more interesting for those that have stopped paying attention after a bad month for the Jays. It also gives tercet a chance to win at least some of his money back!

Just signed up for the Russel Martin Charity poker tourney that runs in a week, lets see how I can do at that, they have some nice trips if I finish well.

And with Tercets donation I will figure something out that works as well. It definitely won't go into my pocket. I wanted to come down to TO this year and buy a bunch of drinks/food and go to a game but I just tore my achilles playing softball! So I'm out of commission for a long f***ing time.

same here. Occasional 502's, more at times than others. But it can take 20 seconds plus load every page when its bad.

 

Strangely, I switch to the mobile version on my desktop and things load perfectly fast.

Start of May everyone was roasting tercet and acting like he had no chance of winning the "bet", then the same people were biting their nails at the end of the month hoping Teoscar didn't get one extra plate appearance in May.

 

tercet came one Teoscar PA away from making everybody look stupid and getting the ultimate validation.

 

Instead, he lost the bet to himself, and then directed an "stfu liar" comment also towards himself.

Same s*** for 10 yrs doesn't change. Teoscar was very bad, but I still barely lose the bet. The Teoscar fanboys now are happy that I lost despite Teoscar being terrible. Did I mention he is a bad hitter?
