Hope he’s done enough to stay up when JD/Morales are back, but he might be screwed by having options left.

 

Unless the DH spot is open (which means JD's fully healthy and Morales is not going to play regularly), then you'll have to accept that some combination of Grichuk, Teoscar, Grandy and Pearce are all going to split time at 2 positions (unless you're going to start giving Pillar more time off). I don't think that's going to work....nor are we going to carry 5 outfielders if Morales/JD are back.

 

Chances are - there will be another injury that opens up at bats for Teoscar on a regular basis. That's how baseball works.

He is due an injury, is an expiring contract, and harms the roster flexibility. Obv you’d prefer to move Morales but that’s not happening.

I'd rather keep Pearce and get a reliever from somewhere else. There's always room for a batter that is hitting well.

It must be a nightmare to hit against Axford. His stuff is so good and you can't really sit on a certain spot because it's not like he knows where the ball is going either. If he's anywhere near the strike zone then good luck.
