JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 (edited) Toronto has won eight of 11 games after dropping the first two games of the season – a stark contrast to the team’s brutal 1-9 SU start a year ago. The Indians have won 12 of 18 meetings between the clubs over the last two seasons, including a 4-1 series triumph in the 2016 American League Championship Series. Marcus Stroman and Mike Clevinger will get the start for the Jays and Tribe, respectively. Stroman (0-1, 8.33 ERA) didn’t fare well in his first road game of the season last Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and five walks over 4.2 innings vs the Texas Rangers. The 26-year-old surrendered four runs over five innings against the New York Yankees in his first start of the year on April 1. Clevinger (1-0, 0.71) didn’t factor into the decision in his last outing, a 3-1 Cleveland victory over Kansas City. The hurler gave up just one run on 10 hits and two walks over 7.1 innings of work, and the Florida native is 16-9 in his career. The Tribe have been getting the job done behind Clevinger dating back to last season. Cleveland is 9-0 SU in its last nine with Clevinger on the mound. Edited April 13, 2018 by JaysAllMighty

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Going to be a tough series to win, going to need JaysAllMighty to put up a clutch GDT performance in this spot.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 If we can steal this one tonight have to feel we have a chance to win this series against Tomlin. Kluber is going to unmercifully dominate us tomorrow though. 12-15 K's easy. I hope we don't put both Grich and Teo in the lineup for that game. Actually I hope they do I own Kluber in my fantasy league.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Gibby aggressive slotting Teoscar in the 2-hole. I like it.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Gibby aggressive slotting Teoscar in the 2-hole. I like it. The way he does his lineups is funny sometimes. Teoscar isn't good enough to make the opening day roster but he comes up and bats 2nd. Pearce is mostly a bench/platoon player but when he plays Gibby bats him cleanup.

Gibby has been really good with his lineup construction, although I still think Smoak should be hitting 4th and not 3rd but oh well.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I would have liked to seen Solarte maybe lead off or maybe hit second because of how well he has done getting on base this season. But hopefully Teo is energised tonight and can give this lineup a spark. Most importantly we need Stroman to pitch well tonight because he was awful in Texas. That was the worst I have ever seen him pitch. He had no command whatsoever.
Maico450 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Still a pretty good lineup 1-9. There are 5 players who were not in last years opening day lineup. Good job Ross Atkins.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Good time for Travis and Grichuk to get smoking hot

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 God f***ing Dammit If they lose tonight you should just start the GDT right after the game.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 is the game delayed or something? I heard tomorrows game will be at risk of r/o but todays is a go.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Lol....did i just hear Buck sucking on the olive from his martini to start the broadcast?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 So close! Man, I love Granderson's at bats.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Thought Grandy's FO, had a chance off the bat! I Buck'd myself...
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Stroman needs to get that breaking ball down. He's hung a few already.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 f***, that miscue by Smoak cost us, as has Stroman, not sharp here early.
