I don’t like that they put Deck back in the rotation. He was looking great out of the pen. Meanwhile Romano is off to a great start. Good to see.

Are you sure you want to give up the flawless defence Gift plays. I mean, yes he is basically a pitcher with the bat, but the guy plays amazing flawless defence, and always comes through. (Hint; last night he only had 1 job)

That's a good point and if Gift was being used as a defensive replacement most of the time then having an elite skill like that would be more useful. But he's not, he's basically being used as a typical backup infielder where he plays almost entire games at a time. So I want the best overall player - which at this point is sifting through trash but Espinosa could get back to being above replacement level but I don't think Gift ever will be.
