Yankees should probably teach Stanton to play First Base or something. Hes way to athletic to play DH. And he wasn’t a bad Outfielder.

They're going to rotate DH's. He'll be in the field tomorrow.

Maybe if we're extra lucky, you forget to pay your internet bill for the next 6 months.

I'll just use my neighbors wide open wireless network if need be :)

Why the f*** is he playing 3B if he can't throw the ball. Management of this team is fully incompetent. Our best player is nursing a shoulder injury, hasn't been right all spring, somehow allowed to play 3B today...

SEASON = OVER

I suspect he was probably not honest about how bad it was. I'll be shocked if he's playing the field tomorrow.

Per Blue Jays manager John Gibbons, Josh Donaldson's arm feels "dead" but "not injured." Gibbons thinks he'll have to give Donaldson more DH days going forward. Gibbons: "I'm not particularly worried."

What do you guys think about Solarte?

Probably okay in a pinch? Better than the backups we had last year (which you wouldn't know about... :P )

Dead arm is a thing this time of year, but I don't often hear it affecting anyone that's not a pitcher. Edited by Krylian

It didn't look like a lack of arm strength. He wasn't even finishing his throws. He looked hurt, but we'll see I guess.

I don't get why during warm up he wouldn't think to say something to the coach.. like oh ya I can't throw the ball, my arm is dead.

No as in a standalone single offline season - I normally prefer to play one season without trades taking place.

Plus there's literally hundreds of player transfers every year, promotions/relagations etc. amazing how quickly it can seem dated!

Hmmm I have no idea to be honest. If you really want to you could play franchise mode and disable trades.

Actually I think it is removed: http://www.pastapadre.com/2018/03/23/mlb-the-show-18-also-removed-season-mode

Bautista can play third right? Is he still out there? ;P

That was a great showing from the Yankees. I absolutely love watching their approach at the plate. Happ was fantastic, but the Yankees are so great at working up the pitch count. Definitely a good strategy as the Jays pen isn't very deep.

Definitely gonna enjoy watching Stanton this year. It's great for baseball that he's playing on a high profile team.

Tough day for the Jays, but it was an unfavorable match up. Hopefully Sanchez throws a good game and the Jays can get at Tanaka tomorrow.

Tanaka had a lousy spring, so there's hope. But that wasn't a good start to the season for us.. but it also shows how much better the Yanks are compared to the Red Sox.

It feels like the Jays have certainly faced Tanaka enough. They seem to have trouble making adjustments and can't lay off of his low breaking stuff. I think the lineup is a little more balanced this year though so I hope they can knock him around a bit. I'm excited to watch Sanchez back, and what better challenge than to face the Yankees?!

God, I'm happy baseball's back!:o

Donaldson has been hurting all spring. The 1st ST game I was surprised to see him as DH. He never got it going all of ST. Was terrible at the plate, no timing or control.

Rarely played 3B defensively, I can also see why there has been no contract extension.

JD playing 3b when he couldn't even throw is either irresponsible of the team (if they knew) or JD (if he didn't disclose it). JUst put him on the DL. If the team starts poorly because of it then so be it. Better he get healthy than get hurt worse than he already is.

According to Gibby, it's no big deal, his arm's just dead. Just a dead arm guys, no problem.
