Laika Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Robert Murray @RobertMurrayFRS Sources: #BlueJays, RHP Seung-hwan Oh in agreement on deal, pending physical. The 35 year old was elite in 2016, pedestrian in 2017. Relevant news: RotoWire News: Oh's agent, Dong-wook Kim, said Monday that the Rangers elected not to sign his client to a contract after the reliever's medical test revealed right elbow inflammation, Sung Min Kim of Sporting News reports. z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 I assume this is going to be for peanuts, and if so is a great signing. Not depending on him to be anything, but could be a perfectly serviceable RP. HR's crushed him last year, but the other peripherals were fine. We'll see, but a good gamble.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Yay! I’ve wanted this all offseason.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 No-risk/high-reward signing - just like all of the other moves this offseason. I f***ing love this FO.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2018 Author Posted February 26, 2018 Toronto Cardinals Aledmys Grichuk Jaime Oh
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Lets continue to build the 2016 Cardinals! Oh was ridiculous in 2016 and bad in 2017. So reasonable to think hes somewhere in between if healthy.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Good move. So what is the pen looking like now?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Toronto Cardinals Aledmys Grichuk Jaime Oh Collecting all the non true Cardinals
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 So to me it's looking like this: CL- Osuna SU- Tepera SU- Oh MR- Barnes MR- Loup (L) MR- Mayza (L) LR- Biagini (Him starting in Buffalo is a real possibility though) John Axford, Craig Breslow, Al Alburquerque, Matt Dermody and Carlos Ramirez are all in the mix as well. Especially if Biagini starts in Buffalo.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 I wonder what the vesting option actually is?

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 This FO has done a real good job of being a bullpen that has a reasonable chance of being decent, and a chance at being really, really good.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Guerrieri as darkhorse for LR if Biagini starts out in Buffalo. Could also make the team over Loup if he impresses in ST. Yeah I forgot to put him in after tooting his horn earlier this month. Has he pitched yet?
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Yeah I forgot to put him in after tooting his horn earlier this month. Has he pitched yet? Pitched yesterday, and was hitting 94.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Who is getting removed from the 40 man? My guess would be Dermody?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Who is getting removed from the 40 man? My guess would be Dermody? Tulowitzki will probably be transferred to the 60-day DL anytime now and we won't even have to worry about this.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Excellent signing. I've been hoping they'd sign at least one reliever to a big league deal.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Good signing but he has to pass his medical first......
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Yes! This is a fantastic move.
JG34 Verified Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 A good signing with a badass nickname, “The Final Boss”!
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 I really like this a 100 times better than Axford or Breslow.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/oh-my-takei.gif Super stoked we signed the Final Boss! Hopefully he proves last season was a mirage and kicks ass here.

So reasonable to think hes somewhere in between if healthy. Let's keep it going...sign Trevor Rosenthal to a 2 year deal, then sign Kevin Siegrist to a minor league deal!
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
