And they tweet the most, best to just follow Kenny Ken.

Heyman is literally a puppet. You can be certain anytime a big story breaks (by someone else, of course) Heyman will be there "confirming" the report 2 to 3 minutes after even though he doesn't know s***. Like clockwork.

Yea, I think it was Heyman I was thinking of not Passan. But, maybe it was from something else and not the Darvish deadline day.

Heyman is a hack too but he’s more credible than Morosi. That says more about Morosi than Heyman, but still. Morosi is one of the worst out there.

I honestly can't fathom how and why so many people view this front office in such a negative light. How can so many outspoken people be this clueless and uneducated?

You’re joking right? Most casuals don’t really care about prospects, especially when the main one they’ll have heard of was acquired by AA. All they see is a title contender dismantled into a bad team while 2 division rivals have sustained success without tanking.

It would be bizarre if Shatkins was super popular with the casuals.

I don't have power rankings for this (yet), but Jeff Passan is probably a top 3 writer in baseball, imo.

Ranking baseball writers would be a brilliant idea for an article.

I stopped following Rosenthal when he joined the Athletic - the majority of his tweets now just shill his articles for them.

Heyman might have the worst grammar out of any sports "journalist" ever.

Just pass those by, he still tweets real scoops and truth.

The Athletic seems pretty good. I enjoy quality writing and it seems there is less and less available. I'm strongly considering signing up

Yes, they are good, not just baseball either.

I am shocked people are still shocked at how stupid and ignorant most of the population are...Most people are incredibly stupid.

Small part of me wants them to trade him and not tell him just for all those tweets about not being informed

I really believe it is this male fan hatred for Stroman is partially what sparks the rumours IMO. He is such a polarizing guy that Jays fans click on everything that has his name. Steve Simmons (who was up to it again today by saying that Stroman is not wanted in the clubhouse as the team rebuilds) only reports about the Jays when it's about Stroman it seems.

Which prospects other than Bo, Vlad and Jansen are you really high on?

Most people are of average intelligence. That's how IQ works.

IQ tests the ability to process and understand information, not the willingness to.

Thanks for the correction. Not really sure what you were going for.

Why not ? They would be getting an potential ace in return.

Because Stroman is coming off a down year and the top 5 prospects in the Padres organization are all top 40 guys.

Stroman alone isn't worth that.

At his best I think Stroman is more like a 2/3 arm, not an ace.

If the Jays can get 2 of the Padres top 10 prospects I'd consider it a win, a top 5 guy is a pipe dream though.

In my humble opinion at least.

If the Jays sell low on Stroman and don't get back a piece that could be a contributor to a winner in 2 to 3 years, it will be a disappointment. I'd rather hang on to him and see if he has a good start so they can sell him at the dead line for something meaningful.

When I do the risk vs reward calculation now, vs deadline. My answer is always the same. Trade him NOW!

Look at 2 teams interested in him now supposedly. SD and Cincinnati. Those two teams night not even be buyers at the deadline. Might also be alot more pitchers on the market. Nothing saying Stroman will get better.. less controlable time. Do a positive/ negative sheet. Mine come out trade now.

Sell!

I'd rather move him now with maximum control left on his deal, either way the Jays would probably be getting young controllable prospects in return and you can never guarantee they work out regardless of how they're ranked.

If they can move on 2 top 10 prospects from a stacked system like the Padres I jump at that chance.

Like Carlos Danger said, the 2 teams supposedly interested in him now might not be buyers at the deadline and a lot more pitchers could be on the market.

Not saying his value is as high as it could be but the way the Jays have been bitten by hanging on to assets too long the past few years I would 100% move him before the season if the return is halfway decent.

I don't want to see another Donaldson situation where we sell for basically nothing.

I've been a lurker for years, posting rarely.

It's nice to have some civil conversation about the team with people who aren't filthy casuals.

I'm trying to post more, almost at 100! lol

I'm not saying don't trade him. If you get a guy or two who could potentially make a difference, make the deal. I'd rather move Stroman for some higher ceiling, higher risk prospects than guys that might be closer to being major league ready and have a lower ceiling. I don't see a way for this team to compete in 3 years unless get some big wins on trades. I'd rather risk Stroman has a bounce back to get a real piece at the deadline than sell low at this point. If you can get that piece now, then deal him.
