Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Author Posted May 8, 2018 Why not Barnes? He hasn't been down 10 days yet - maybe Osuna's administrative leave doesn't count as being on a restricted list so can't bypass the 10 day rule?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 I don't mind getting an extended look at LGJ at SS.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 The M's have a pretty good lineup (cue Grant jokes), good test for Stroman to get his season back on track.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Barnes not being called up is extremely weird. The 10-day rule already gets negated with DL trips. And Petricka was optioned after him.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Author Posted May 8, 2018 Yeah, of course it does. Petricka was just optioned. Man it's hard to keep track of the roster moves recently! In that case no idea why Barnes didn't get the call.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Man it's hard to keep track of the roster moves recently! In that case no idea why Barnes didn't get the call. It's stupid if nothing's wrong with him. The guy's a fireman for this squad. Also, make the GDT... start the streak.
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Jay's must already be leading the league in Roster moves

jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Do we know who's going to be our closer now that Osuna is gone for a while?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Do we know who's going to be our closer now that Osuna is gone for a while? Gibby didn't commit to any one guy.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Gibby didn't commit to any one guy. Predictions? I'm thinking Clippard
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Clippard, Oh or Tepera will get looks IMO. Whoever looks the best from there.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Who's the last Jays pitcher (Major League or minor leaguer of relevance) to have TJ?
Mohammed Verified Member Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Osuna arrest for assault against a woman.... team goes out and gets no hit... #teamresilience
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Posting this here for others to see. So, uh, yeah... What f***ery.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Today was just the icing on the cake. We were drilling balls and you just knew there would be a Mariners player on the receiving end.

Well if you ask me the batting coach should be telling them where to hit the balls. They should aim for the wholes, and hit the ball between the fielders.
GodDonaldson Verified Member Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Who's the last Jays pitcher (Major League or minor leaguer of relevance) to have TJ? Drew Hutchison??
GodDonaldson Verified Member Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Predictions? I'm thinking Clippard Clippard walks a lot of batters compared to Oh. Even though he has lower ERA than Oh.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 (edited) Drew Hutchison?? Sounds about right. It does feel like it's been an awful long time and we've been very fortunate in that regard. Edited May 10, 2018 by Krylian

closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Yeah a minor league journeyman will really impact when Shatkins being up the best prospect in baseball. Try reading that post outloud in a sarcastic tone... things would have to get pretty f***ing bad for Urshela to see any big league playing time this season.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 The starting staff has been so s*** it's unbelievable I need to look up the numbers and post them
Todd Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 This blue jays team needs to fix it's starting rotation.Starting with Marcus Stroman going back to the minors to find his pitches. Like Halladay did. Send some players to the minors like Devon Travis or release some. Some of the jays prospects have no busy being with the team. Ones who are hitting like 150 in the minors and are hitting 150 with the team. And looks like Justin Smoak was a one year wonder. So far Randal Grichuk has been a major disappointment. But new league different type of pitchers. more junk
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 (edited) So far this season Pitcher - ERA - FIP Stroman - 7.71 - 4.64 Sanchez - 4.14 - 4.79 Estrada - 5.21 - 5.82 Garcia - 5.40 - 5.94 Happ - 4.80 - 4.34 Might as well add Biagini - 8.10 - 5.97 This was supposed to be this team's strength. Instead the offense and the bullpen is the only reason the team has been able to hover around. 500 Cant afford keep this up Edited May 11, 2018 by G-Snarls
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 (edited) Happ's updated FIP is 4.34. Edited May 11, 2018 by G-Snarls
