I know what people find entertaining is pretty subjective... but Barker is only entertaining to me in the "should be at the ticket gate of a circus" type of thing.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 He's awful, and he's banging Hazel Mae (presumably) who I still find very, very hot. I am old, too so it's not gross. They're married, man. lol I wonder how it feels to be married to the community bike.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Seasons where we expected to contend mostly started poorly in April This season where we expect a third place finish they seem to be playing over their heads a bit Baseball... I'm loving it

AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Why even activate Morales, we are so much better without him. Pearce, Grichuk and Hernandez all need to be in the lineup. Let just leave him on DL.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 They'd have to agree, one call to the MLBPA and Toronto's f***ed. They need to just release him at this point. He's a sunk cost and just makes the team worse when he plays. I'm thinking Rogers has to be interfering or something because I can't really fathom why Morales is still here.

I'm thinking Rogers has to be interfering or something because I can't really fathom why Morales is still here. I mean he hit 28 homeruns last year and has elite exit velocity. Hes far from useless. I would love to get rid of him but releasing him would be stupid. We could at the very least use him as a pinch hitter.

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 It's time to send Hernandez back down to make room for Morales It's time for the Jays to make up a phantom injury for Morales and put him on the 60 day DL.

If you try too hard, you are going to end up getting in your head. For a lot of players, this is completely accurate. Some players have the ability to rise to the occasion and excel, other players tank in hi pressure situations. The metric guys will argue all day that all players are the same, but in fact they are all different and all will react differently.

I think sticking to the game plan is what they mean instead of trying to be a hero and winning the game all on your own.

I think sticking to the game plan is what they mean instead of trying to be a hero and winning the game all on your own. in every sport, even team sports, there are times that require individual performances. Some players try too hard and fail. Some try hard and succeed. Others don't try hard and succeed. I think what Barker was trying to get across was that particular player, needed to relax, and let the play happen rather than trying to make it happen.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Morales destroys the roster flexibility so much that it is infuriating. They obviously did not want to release him in the winter but now that they have a surplus of options that are by far better than him, there's really no point in holding on to him. It's sunk cost. They aren't getting a return on it. Just cut him loose and free up the DH spot.
