Wow... it's f***ing May, lol.

Good trade for the Mariners. Shows they’ll be buyers at the deadline - maybe they’ll want Happ back.

I guess deals can happen before the deadline.

Nothing gets the fans out to the park like waving the white flag in May to save some $$.

When did fans ever show up in Tampa?

We should probably take this route before the bullpen completely implodes and Happ gets hurt or something.

Mike Trout is amazing. 10 bases tonight.

207 wRC+ on a .317 BABIP lol. It must be pretty great to be Mike Trout.

Hustles down the line for an infield single, because why not? Trout is 5-5.

Not bad for a guy who has already reached the threshold for being an average Hall of Famer for his position... at 26.

And yet Bonds peak was still better... still blows my mind to watch Trout and marvel at how amazing he is, like clearly a tier above anyone else in the game right now and everyone else for the past 40 years except for that Bonds guy.

Interesting article on using elite closers, who match up well with opposing top of the order batters, in the 1st inning:

Another one by Bill James on the usage of a 3-man rotation:

Seems to me, at a glance anyways, baseball has a lot more revolutions to go through. Why are starters/closers even a think a team should be focused on getting outs and nothing more.

I dislike Romo-ing because it's going to be a pain in the as for fantasy baseball.

Interesting point. Do we think fantasy sports play a decent role in attracting young fans to the sport?

Meh, it's not THAT big a deal (with the exception of someone who is a Romo owner and can't get a win, hold, OR save, ever).

If this becomes a trend, it will re-shape DFS as we know it.

Yup, unless we see teams starting guys like Kenley Jansen, Chapman, Kimbrel, Hader at the beginning of the game for 1-2 innings, I don't think it isn't that huge of a deal. Teams would still want their best relievers for situations late in games.

The troll is that the Rays are doing this to save money first and win games second.

Romo got rekt in a 3rd of an inning, lol. F U Rays!
