Gleyber Torres with another bomb today. Not sure why Boone is still batting him 9th, he's sitting on a .414 wOBA while Greg Bird comes back from the DL and immediately slotted into the 3-hole. He should probably be batting leadoff when he plays. 4 out of Torres' 10 HR are centre/oppo, just an excellent all fields hitter. He has all the makings of a career .300 hitter.

Well Bird is sitting at a 140 wRC+ so not sure why you're picking on him. I'd be more annoyed about Gregorius, Gardner or Andujar.

Okay, but Bird had like a 110 career wRC+ coming into today, so why does he get to jump the line after missing most of 3 seasons to injury and never producing at the MLB level for any length of time? I am enjoying very much Didi's regression after his incredible start, the YES guys suck his dick like he's the second coming of Jeter. I don't really care that much about batting order, let alone for the Yankees, it's just a bit odd considering how unearthly hot Gleyber has been. Torres, Judge, Sanchez, Stanton would be the logical and ideal Top 4.

I've never understood why a player is still allowed to try and affect the play once they are out.

Bitch slide aside, he's out by 15 feet there easy, why is he allowed to try and interfere with a fielder after he's out? His slide hadn't even started before he was out.

A simple rule tweak would easily get rid of this garbage. If your slide hasn't started by the time you've been called out... you can't do it.

That is easy to judge in the majors (with replay) a little harder without replay. The new slide rule was partially put in for the trickle down effect. We really don't need our 12 year olds breaking up infielders...err I mean double plays.

I don't disagree with you but leave your disingenuous career analysis of Greg at the door

Torres was finally getting bumped up higher in the lineup until he got hit on the wrist with a 94mph pitch the other day, in his first games back they batted him lower again in case they had to pull him out.

I was looking through some stats earlier, and noticed Judge has struck out 13 times in his last 4 games! He's hit Estrada well in his career, wonder which Judge we'll see tonight?

Tommy John Surgery for Jordan Montgomery.

Trade JA Happ to them now.

Hes a great fit for the Yankees. Some intriguing prospects in that system we could ask for in return. Yes please.

Anyone else see the Harper highlight, where his batting helmet trips him while running into 2nd?

Haha yeah, hopefully gives him the push to get a proper fitting helmet because he seems to lose it every night.

And we thought Morales was bad

Kole Calhoun isn’t far behind, but he was finally taken out of the lineup by the Angels (and is now on the 10 day dl).

Chris Davis isn’t going anywhere because of his contract - he’s still owed $68m after this season!
