King Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Yeah I'd have a hard time putting a 40 hit tool on a hitter as good as Upton
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Bring him home! /s This is not something to joke about.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Good thing for Zeke independent ball season is starting tomorrow
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Zeke would be a good character guy for the clubhouse. Like Vizquel and what's his name for a few seasons?

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Marlins averaging 10,667 fans per game The fewest in the majors by far. Rays are averaging 4000 more per game
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 10,667 is a lot of fans for a Yankees minor league affliate
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Yeah, after trading all of their good players away, who could have forseen this result in a city that has traditionally not shown the team much support in better times?
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 ryan: does justin upton have a 50 hit tool? Eric A Longenhagen: 40 Justin Upton has a 40 hit tool? lmao, so out of touch just by AVG he's 208 out of 613 qualified hitters since he entered the league, which is like 66th percentile so that's a firm 55, fringe 60 and of course he's 69/613 in overall hitting, wRC+, since he came into the league I guess Evan Longoria is also a 40 hitter

Yeah Zero surprise from me I'm almost surprised it's not worse
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 "On April 30, the team drew just 5,415 people." That should be grounds for an automatic relocation, haha.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Yeah Zero surprise from me I'm almost surprised it's not worse It's tickets sold, not people actually in the ballpark, so it probably is worse.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Pirates 19 year old SS prospect Ji Hwan Bae returned to South Korea for questioning regarding domestic abuse allegations from his girlfriend
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Rays are starting Romo tomorrow to face the Angels heavy right handed lineup for the first inning or two (Angels only have 3 left handed bats on the team and none are everyday starters). Then Yarborough will come in. I'd love to know their reasoning for it but it's entertaining.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Rays are beating up the Angels--Tropeano sucks. And once again, it's taxing the Angels bullpen. Not noted--Michael Hermosillo got called up due to Upton's injury. Like the Jays, the Angels are getting exposed..
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Don't get why Gardenhire trusted that s***** bullpen over Fulmer who was at < 90 pitches.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Alex Reyes in AA tonight, 7.2 IP, 13K, 1 H, 3 BB Next start with the Cards?

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Dennis Santana so far in AAA: 5IP 9K's 0 BB, 3 single, 0ER. Next start with the Dodgers? Do the Dodgers have a spot for him. Stripling with a 3rd straight stellar start Damn and I had him on the bench, didn't trust him against the Nats.

Well, Rich Hill threw 2 pitches tonight and Santana is on the 40 man and his turn would come up in Hill's next start. Santana just struck out the first guy in the 6th. 10K's, 0BBs, 5.1 innings

I'm happy with Snell, Reyes, Folty, Mahle, and Chatwood.
