They also have some pretty interesting arms in Chris Rodriguez and Griffen Canning.

 

It's a pretty decent system, it's come a long ways...i would say it's middle of the pack in terms of prospects.

 

The swing from literally one year to the next was pretty incredible, they went from having a worst in baseball kind of system to being middle of the pack, that's huge while adding guys like Ohtani for nothing, Cozart and Kinsler on reasonable deals to an already decent core featuring the best player in the game.

The Angels are one of my fav teams to watch right now.

And even despite a struggling Trout early on, they're 7-3! Still, like the Red Sox--waiting for them to play tougher competition. Can't just fatten up on Oakland and a Cleveland Indians team that is struggling offensively due to injuries and a MIA Jose Ramirez..

They should call up Robles.

 

On the plus side, with Harper hitting his 6th HR in the 1st inning, he now has more homers than strikeouts and more HR the Dodgers, Rays, Tigers, Royals and Marlins

I know you're joking but i think only the Angels capping his innings at 170-180 will keep him out of Cy Young considerations. Its easy to say its just two starts but swinging strike rate stabilizes very early and that combined with his raw talent, its hard to be be anything but super excited with him.

There's still uncertainty over what his bat is worth, even a 125 wRC+(which is hardly conservative) DH only hitter who gets 400 PA(again, fairly generous) is probably only worth like 1-1.5 WAR.

Considering Bryce Harper hit 4 homeruns last week and walked 38% of the time, you would have thought he would be pretty conclusive...

 

I'm sure during one of Edwin's torrid streaks in a previous May he would have been a clear cut choice.
