Can anyone explain why the Rays 2nd baseman didnt just tag Nunez or easily step on 2nd for the force out to end the inning but instead chose to throw to first? That was so close it almost cost them the game.

Bases were loaded so it was a force play so the runner on 3rd cant score even if he reaches home before the 3rd out is applied?

Joey Wendle(the 2nd baseman) just basically had a brain cramp.. luckily, it didn't make a difference. Now we're in the 11th still tied.. lucky both teams are off tomorrow, because both bullpens are going to be gassed..
