I didn't read Blair's article, but Stro definitely deserves criticism for his Tweet after Goins was non tendered. That was ridiculous. If Goins is your friend and you want to show your love for him after he was released, then just say nice things about him and wish him luck.

Lol wtf?

That was in response to a Brownie post where he talked about Stroman's tweets being proof that semen was being exchanged.

Stro-show on Insta is pretty funny. Private jets, chillin with white college rappers, mis-matching shoe laces that he calls "style". Love the intensity that he plays with but he is kind of a tool IRL

Sanchez is probably glad to be away from all that, he doesn’t seem to be the attention whore type. I enjoy watching Stro pitch, but it ends there.

Guys, how did this turn into a Stroman bashing thread? Can we not have a new thread for that?

The subject is already exhausted. Let's not start a thread just to rehash it.

I approve of this comment. Mods un-ban Cleveland Steamer pls this is right up his alley.

Exactly. We're not evening debating the issue - basically everyone agrees that Stro needs to grow up. Let's move on.

I love me some George Carlin.

Oh my.

I get liking Goins for what's he done well but the wish-casting on his stroke is just like the old saw about expecting different results from doing the same thing over and over again. He's nearly 1500 PAs into his career and turning 30. If anything, he's going to get worse not better.

But he could be an all star! All he has to do is start hitting like an all star...

They get this s*** from the broadcast team who constantly spew out the nonsense that he would look better with regular at-bats. I don’t understand why the fans like him. You would think they would hate someone who constantly gets out. This city is a sucker for an underdog story.

Some people will like him because if you don't follow every game closely, then see highlights with Goins making a good defensive play, then check the box score where he gets another RBI, then add that to he's been here for years (so must therefore love the team) and compare him to other players under performing and/or injured.

I wouldn't blame someone for thinking like that. I would blame that person if on hearing he was let go, they don't then look at the stats and see he's actually a borderline 25th man defensive sub at best.

I would be fine with Goins as the 25th man off the bench if he was as good of a defender as people seem to think he is. The problem for the Blue Jays is that they go in to the season knowing they probably won’t have Travis and Tulo for half the season which has resulted in 2 years of Goins and Barney up the middle. Atleast Diaz might be able to hit a bit in their absence.

Yeah, though with no options left I think it was the right decision to move on.
