Cleveland Steamer Verified Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 BREAKING: Plane owned by former #Phillies and #BlueJays pitcher Roy Halladay has crashed, one body confirmed dead. Waiting on identity.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Uh oh, this isn't good. http://www.wtsp.com/news/former-mlb-pitcher-roy-halladay-killed-in-gulf-of-mexico-plane-crash/489944976
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Couldn't they just call Roy to see if he answers? This isn't looking good, though. I really hope someone stole the plane or something.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 This looks really bad. Says they will be announcing person's identity at 4:15. I mean if it wasn't him couldn't someone have confirmed it by now? f***
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 This has ruined my perfectly good day. Now I'm glued to the Twitter to find out one way or the other ASAP.

Delays in that process could happen whether it's Roy or not.
Cleveland Steamer Verified Member Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 They way he spoke about his new plane on Twitter, I can pretty much guarantee it's him. Very sad.

West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Live stream on http://www.sportsnet.ca, I have it set to start at 4pm not sure when they will activate it for the website but the stream will be there.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 I know just seems terrible the way the news has come out. His twitter is filled with him and his plane. Once the first person identified the number as Halladay's plane it was going to spread rumours regardless.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Bad gut feeling about this one. It's him. They didn't say any survivors, and who else would be flying his plane alone? And you would think, if he had survived, he'd send out some kind of message to let people know.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 More to the point, would they even have a press conference unless it was someone important? Seems like a lot of buildup.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Damn, he's probably my favorite Jay of all time.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Ugh of course it is. This f***ing sucks so bad.
