saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I predict he's going to the Reds to play with Votto....who better to learn how to hit from the left side from?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Don't worry there's always Kazuhisa Makita. A submarine 80 MPH junkball pitcher. We can still have some Japanese in our lives. I like Makita 4K/9
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Tampa's still theoretically in, no? Would they be allowed to spread the posting fee over the next decade?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I predict he's going to the Reds to play with Votto....who better to learn how to hit from the left side from? Ryan Goins. The next Dave Magadan
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 #DBacks also out on Ohtani, per source. Teams that have yet to acknowledge outcome include #Cubs, #Angels, #Rangers, #Padres. Possible indication they’re in; not confirmed. Shouldn't Cubs be out for sure. Huge market and not west coast....White Sox as well
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Shouldn't Cubs be out for sure. Huge market and not west coast....White Sox as well They have one of if not the best player development org. in MLB.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Shouldn't Cubs be out for sure. Huge market and not west coast....White Sox as well Theo Epstein has a habit of getting what he wants.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 We need his 5 K/9 in our lives. I wonder why they even posted him. I was watching clips and he's pretty s*** and old.
rydermike Verified Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 At least we found out early unlike the Darvish posting
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 White Sox and Brewers join the list of failures. Cards, too.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 They have one of if not the best player development org. in MLB. Who...Cubs or White Sox?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I love this elimination style of posting lol. I love that New York was the first team eliminated
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Who...Cubs or White Sox? Obviously the Cubs..
xposbrad Verified Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I love this elimination style of posting lol. I love that New York was the first team eliminated Unfortunately, they will probably pick up a couple of solid free agents still and make the playoffs next year with a solid young and developing team. Granted he would have put them over the top, I don't think it really matters, they are building a contender there for a while regardless. One of the teams that needed him the most was us, just because Yanks/Red Sox are so far ahead in the division now and have the financial resources to keep that spread even further.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Would they be allowed to spread the posting fee over the next decade? Apparently not. They're out now.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Obviously the Cubs.. Just checking lol
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Rays and Cardinals are out. I can't see the Orioles being in, so at least he won't be in the division.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 The Os probably didn't even make an offer.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Kinda disappointed if he goes to Seattle. IMO they haven’t been managed well under Dipoto and are one of the most boring/unappealing teams in the league.

Also, they seemed like the obvious choice from the get-go, so it would be nice to see something unexpected like the Padres or Angels.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 If the Giants land Otani I think Stanton approves the trade. Would be a nice team to watch
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 The Os probably didn't even make an offer. Duquette: "We never made an offer because our fanbase don't like him"
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Braves are out, not that that's at all surprising.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 so the Padres, Mariners and Giants all have roses.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Ohtani picking the Padres of all teams would be pretty darn surprising.
Ray Verified Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 They should've made this like the Bachelor and actually made Otahni hand out roses to the GM of the teams of made the final cut.
