Fair enough, this is why I stick to hockey as my main sport lol

To put it more simple terms.. If Stroman doesn't commit the error at first base on JBJ, then that would have been the second out of the inning, with Benitendi moving to third. The Holt sac fly would have then been the third out of the inning with no runs scored and if any runs are scored after that, they are also unearned because the inning should have been over.

I didn't see the play...Was it easy? I read Smoak double clutched on the throw.

It's really hard not to love Osuna.

By FAR, Osuna is THE MAN on the Jays right now!! I still hope Donaldson will rebound to reclaim that role.

Is there really going to be much difference between 3-5th and 15-20th pick ?

I say this. Stroman (or Stroganoff, as the autocorrect would have it) is such an athlete that if Smoak fields it cleanly, Stro takes it in stride, finds the bag easily, and the out is made. However, because Smoak double-clutched, it threw Stro off, he had to pause, then couldn't find the bag. In my view, Smoak's error, and I'm sure Smoak would agree. The official scorer didn't, however.

It was an easy play. Smoak double clutched on the toss and caused Stroman to break his timed stride to first and almost stopped in order to receive the ball. Stroman had no time to look down and find the bag after receiving the toss and tried to feel for it, by then it was too late.

Marcus Stroman should probably stop searching his name on Twitter after every start.

Meh. If he keeps pitching well, he can reply to every tweet that mentions the name "Marcus" for all I care.

Leone trying for the one pitch win.

As described in the link provided, the official scorer did correctly invoke his prerogative and assigned the W to Tepera, who entered the game after the Jays had already regained the lead in the top of the 8th, following Leone's short and ineffective appearance in the bottom of the 7th. So Leone gets a BS and Gibby gets to wear the dunce cap for the day.
