HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Don't worry they have a bunch of prosp- oh right
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Should have waited for us to play them or at least pass them
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 9-22 since their 22-10 start. This team is heading for a major fire sale at the deadline as ownership will likely order a teardown of the roster as their future is very bleak.. no farm system with MLB-ready talent(all their affiliates are under .500, and most of their top pieces are in A+ ball, and no pitching depth of any kind) only 1 quality starter (Bundy), and multiple pieces approaching free agency (Miley, Tillman, Britton, Machado..)

glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Should have waited for us to play them or at least pass them They are 7-2 against the Jays. We are the only reason they are not dead last right now.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 They are 7-2 against the Jays. We are the only reason they are not dead last right now. Mediocre without getting a top pick, doing our part to keep them right where we want em.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Real life celebrity Roy Firestone's an idiot, not enough Weams, lol.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 http://forum.orioleshangout.com/forums/index.php?/topic/29119-is-it-possible-we-are-just-spoiled/ I had a conversation last night with a person who covered the Orioles for many years . He told me that the Orioles organization has brought winning to its fans for the last 5 seasons(one .500) record. He told me the Orioles were in the post season for three of those 5 seasons(including one division title). He told me Oriole fans were spoiled. Im not sure "spoiled" is the right word. Disappointed might be a better word. The Yankees made moves while still winning 84 games and at least their product while they did was watchable. The Oriole product is not "watchable" to me. I value my emotional health. Now I 'peek" at the game..but can't watch. Too painful. If that makes me a wuss or fair weather fan...well, then so be it. I guess Im spoiled by wanting to see a good product on the field. True poetry from real life fairweather fan, Roy Firestone.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 At least real life celebrity Barry Davis hasn't given up on the Jays.
SpectralGas Verified Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 They have over achieved for years...they will be bad for awhile with that awful farm.

We all hate Showalter but he's also a great manager. He turns garbage teams with a good bullpen into playoff contenders. This year with the starters pitching less innings and bullpen injuries have taken away his secret weapon. If O'Day and Britton come back healthy and his starters can go more than 4 innings, they could go on a run.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Ah yes, great manager indeed. http://i.imgur.com/eapoUAM.png That was one of the greatest manager decisions in Blue Jays history.
keggy Verified Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 That was one of the greatest manager decisions in Blue Jays history. Truly one of the greatest blunders in postseason history. I would still take his contributions over a full season though.
