Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Bunting is stupid, but man Coghlan really only had one job. He completely botched that opportunity.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 April 24 and we still haven't won 2 in a row. Lol
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 If it makes you feel better, the Dodgers just lost when Turner got picked off 2nd to end the game while down by one.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 what a f***ing joke this season sucks
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I know people complain about umps all the time, but tonight was special. Not sure I've ever seen such slanted umpiring - from the balls and strikes, to the review, and then that horrendous obstruction call. A marvel.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Lots of terrible things that game. Mainly ump and not hitting scrub Chavez.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Should I start putting together a platform for my upcoming mod election? It includes 50% more ads for Russian mail order brides
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Why can no Blue Jays player ever successfully sac bunt? its f***ing brutal.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 *said by someone who has been called worst poster by even more people I'll take my modgod powers then. Thanks.
wk680 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 This should appease the bandwagoners, bunting, stealing bases and hit and run. I don't think so. Bandwagoners want to cheer for a team that wins or at least one that is fun to watch. This team is currently neither. Absolutely dreadful to be shut down by that mediocre Angels pitching.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 5-14 with Wacha up next. Probably only going to get 4 hours of sleep tonight as well. Tomorrow will be fun.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Bunting is stupid, but man Coghlan really only had one job. He completely botched that opportunity. Good thing he's great at the other parts of the game. Donaldson can't get healthy fast enough.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 If it makes you feel better, the Dodgers just lost when Turner got picked off 2nd to end the game while down by one. It doesn't, because I own Turner in several leagues and his run would have helped. f*** everything.

That makes me feel worse because the Jays had been 0.5 GB of the Giants for the second worst record in MLB. Then again, tanking for 1st draft pick is something to look forward to .............
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 It's always really interesting to see where management will set the line between "can't panic" and "can't stand for this", whenever these types of brutal skids go on.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I take it back, I'm a worse poster than you Pretty sure I've got this on lock.

This team is currently neither. Absolutely dreadful to be shut down by that mediocre Angels pitching. I must admit that having no Donaldson, Tulo and Encarnacion bothers me. I'm like, I hope we don't lose by too many runs this game.

Not sure I've ever seen such slanted umpiring - from the balls and strikes, to the review, and then that horrendous obstruction call. A marvel. Yep. I almost never blame umps (and made fun of Grant/Gruber...which would make a great morph), but tonight was really bad. You couldn't help but bitch a little at least.

What's the run expectancy for a runner on 2nd and no out? And then a runner on 1st and 1 out? That has to be a huge difference. EDIT: Runner on 2nd and 0 out = 1.068 runs Runner on 1st and 1 out = .489 HUGE difference

And Bautista and Morales continuing to do not much of anything. I fear these guys are getting way too used to losing.

EDIT: Runner on 2nd and 0 out = 1.068 runs Runner on 1st and 1 out = .489 HUGE difference Yeah, huge. Also the chance to score at least one run is like 60% vs 25%, arguably an even bigger deal in a 2-1 game.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 That call killed us. That ump let Maldonado sell him a bag of ******** and he fell for it.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 The difference in run probability is .614 vs .265
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 This Cardinals series is going to be rough. Wacha tomorrow followed by Latos and Lawrence starts for us.
