Gibby figures either of them will be mowed down easily by Sale so might as well play the one with the glove.

Gibby didn't want to put Pillar and Zeke at the top but he had no choice. At least he is exhausting Pillar's babip in a good spot.

I'm not saying Kelly is any good, but my god, Goins against Sale? Might as well have Estrada bat.

Am I the only one that's fangirl-ing on every Estrada pitch? The Red Sox are completely lost, he's so much fun to watch.

I think it's time to lower him in the line-up

Lower him? Why is he even in the lineup,is the real question.

His bat has nothing to do with it.

Stupid fans are apparently doing a "light-wave" from the 500 level, shining their phone lights at the field

blame the Giants for starting it

there unfortunately is nothing that can be enforced about it

So when is Smoak officially converting to being a full time right handed hitter? His career splits are actually worse from that hand but he just looks way more comfortable from that side right now.

I had the same thought. BUT then I listened to an interview of Smoak the other day, in which they asked him about it. He said he didn't think he would do well because he would have trouble picking up the breaking balls. In the interview he said he is a natural right handed hitter despite doing everything else left handed. Might have been a better hitter if he had never become a switch hitter..........

So Sale is purposely varying his breaking ball from as low as 77 to as high as 86, while I'm pretty sure he's also doing the same thing with his fastball since sometimes it's 91 and the next pitch it's 96. God damn.

Could also be because the 96 mph is a 4SFB and 91 is a 2SFB?

Teams are running wild on Salty.

Saltalamacchia cannot throw at all.

Meanwhile the Angels are going to give Graterol a shot as their backup catcher.
