bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Tulo needs to get his head out of his ass
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Jesus christ Buck shut up Right after comment that strike zone has been noticeably wide: "I love it. I love seeing umpires with an aggressive strike zone, make the batter's swing the bat" Translation. "I love it. I love umpires forcing hitters to swing at pitches outside the actual strike zone, because it's super easy to square up balls coming at you at 95mph already, so swinging at stuff well off the plate will lead to more strikeouts and weak contact for easy outs. I love that kind of no offense baseball."
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Tulo needs to get his head out of his ass what the f*** are you talking about?

I love seeing umpires with an aggressive strike zone, make the batter's swing the bat" Translation. "I love it. I love umpires forcing hitters to swing at pitches outside the actual strike zone, because it's not hard enough to square up balls coming at you at 95mph already, swinging at stuff well off the plate will lead to more strikeouts and weak contact for easy outs. I love that kind of no offense baseball." Buck is projecting because he was a terrible hitter who forced himself to swing early so he had a chance
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Buck is projecting because he was a terrible hitter who forced himself to swing early so he had a chance It's just a stupid comment to make. It's laughable
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 what the f*** are you talking about? Im sure you can make a deduction.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Here's a 40-man suggestion--DFAing Tepera!
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Im sure you can make a deduction. shut up weirdo
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Fun with numbers! Prior to tonight's game, all of the jays position players have combined for 0.1 WAR. The number of individual players around baseball with 0.2 or higher? 165..... including Arizona pitcher Robbie Ray who has only 7 PA.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 "Tulo needs to get his ass out of his head" apparently can't make a mistake
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 "Tulo needs to get his ass out of his head" apparently can't make a mistake Yeah, I would say however that Devon Travis is definitely suffering from a severe case of cranial/rectal inversion. He's a dumpster fire in every aspect of the game right now.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Yeah, I would say however that Devon Travis is definitely suffering from a severe case of cranial/rectal inversion. el duque Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 his confidence is shot but he's the best option so the leash is long I prefer Barney to Travis, a much better glove and right now also a better hitter
wk680 Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 what does that mean? When they pitch you down and away (or up and away), hit the ball to the opposite field. Trying to pull it to left only leads to a lot of ground outs and lazy fly ball outs. that pitch was well located on the lower outer corner of the strike zone. Not one that a smart hitter tries to pull.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 his confidence is shot but he's the best option so the leash is long Yeah, you can tell he's really pressing trying to bust out of his funk. And I'd still play him every day over Goins
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Jose looks like he's trying to guess what the pitcher is throwing..... and is never right
el duque Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 This is open season on José, I hope he will get it back and retires with honors like big papy
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I'm almost tempted to have Dwight Smith Jr. or Ian Parmley called up.. either of them would likely outhit Bautista at this point. Jays need to do something...

Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I'll never understand. I'm far more interested in my team making an out than getting a damn ball.
