o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 how many times has Jose been the third out of an inning this year?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 How many will JB strand today? Well, silver lining. .. he probably won't strand any more runners tonight
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 King three days ago "Pillar's wRC+ is 69, just lol".. Not to mention the dozens of other nonsensical posts after 10 games in. Thanks for the springboard kid. .345 / .368 / .491 wRC+ 144
Rustyraven Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 There has to be more than pride and ego at play here. Is it possible he is ill or has some problem? He looks older and seems so fragile. It is beyond funny. There is no fight, no speed, no energy.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Yes, a .383 BABIP sure is sustainable (80 points higher than his career average), Never mind his sub 2% walk rate. Yup. Walk rate keeps going down, but babip fueled hot streaks that every player gets at some time during the season means he's legit now. Keep up would ya?
el duque Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Oh s*** fans are booing Bautista The fact that he asked for a big long term deal at the end of his career somehow diminishes his huge contribution to the Blue Jays, in any case he does not deserve the booing but perhaps hitting 6th

Thanks for the springboard kid. .345 / .368 / .491 wRC+ 144 Hang on, 10 days worth of numbers is nonsense, but a 3 day hot streak is much more indicitive of talent? I'll give you credit man, when you latch on to something, you don't let it go, despite all logic and common sense arguments against you. Wait, that might not be a good thing.....

There is no fight, no speed, no energy. there is no 30M per year contract in his future. he thought he was going to get a 200M contract and now he is faced with the fact that he is year to year contract guy and close to being a spring training invitee in the near future...
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Hang on, 10 days worth of numbers is nonsense, but a 3 day hot streak is much more indicitive of talent? It fits his preconceived narrative, bro, so yes.

He'd retire before he becomes a spring training invitee. No way his ego would let that happen
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 It still amazes me that these players still think sliding into first is better than running through the bag

So i can't fire back with the same f***ing s***? Ok pigeon.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 So i can't fire back with the same f***ing s***? Ok pigeon. Not when you put him down for it in the exact same post lol. C'mon, man.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 He'd retire before he becomes a spring training invitee. No way his ego would let that happen watching him so far this year it looks like he has already retired. it was a hard blow for his ego to get stuck with a one year deal when he was sure he was getting huge money last off season. He could have taken a deal earlier but was so sure he was going to get more money. every k and pop up is his money disappearing and he knows it. that kind of pressure is enormous.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 There is no finesse to Grilli's pitching

I honestly think he has health problems
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 So i can't fire back with the same f***ing s***? Ok pigeon. Why not fire back with actual coherent thoughts and logical arguments? All arguments against Pillar are based on multiple years of him sucking as a hitter. Yours are based on 1 spring training game and a 3 game hot streak. Please tell me how those two things are remotely the same. I'll wait. I have nowhere else to be.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Not when you put him down for it in the exact same post lol. C'mon, man. You guys of all people should know better than to fire the first shots based on a SSS. Have you seen me bump the breakout thread or fire ridiculous posts as if we're 100 games in? My posts are only in response.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Dominating stuff from Liriano, it's early but his xFIP is at 3.11 so far this season 3 starts in. If he can keep his walks down and stay healthy this year he will be a key piece for anything we're trying to achieve this year, that's crazy productivity for a pitcher coming into the year as the #5
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 well played by Zeke Also well played by the fans for not being f***tards and reaching over to make it a ground rule double
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 so this is what winning feels like... so much better than losing.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Also well played by the fans for not being f***tards and reaching over to make it a ground rule double probably too drunk and not actually watching the game in the 9th.
