burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Makes sense considering his fastball was topping out at 93MPH. Bullpen looks like crap without him though.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Upton released. Bolsinger DFA'd. Osuna is hurt. Pompey is hurt. Goins makes team. Tepera makes team. Leone makes team. I want to die
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 FO with some weird f***ing decisions...
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Upton released. Bolsinger DFA'd. Osuna is hurt. Pompey is hurt. Goins makes team. Tepera makes team. Leone makes team. I want to die Waooo Tepera and Goins over Barnes, Bolsinger and Upton
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Time to get concerned about Osuna. - Always been high injury risk (previously had tjs) - Elbow flared up in postseason last year - Got rocked in spring training and wbc - Team turning off the radar gun to not publicize his now low 90s fastball velo

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Apparently Goins wasn't listed on the opening day roster?
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Bullpen is not that great to begin with
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Must have been his 1500LB calf raises in the offseason... Wasn't he doing those with terrible form as well lol? We really need Tim Mayza and Chris Smith to tear up AAA and get up here quick.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Expected after that radar gun thing. After generally good health for a while I'm expecting things to catch up with the team eventually.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Without Osuna that bullpen makes me want to puke. He is scheduled to come off April 9th but I somehow doubt that's the real date.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Apparently still with the neck thing. Hopefully that's the reason for the lower velocity in spring, and it's not an arm problem. Who's the closer right now, Grilli or Biagini?
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Can Sanchy pitch on his off days as our closer? Pencil him in.
Gary Verified Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 This is very concerning. My guess is Grilled Cheese is the closer for now.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Waooo Tepera and Goins over Barnes, Bolsinger and Upton Crazy eh Ang?
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 We don't need to nominate a replacement closer IMO, use the right guy for the right situation. Grilli, Smith and Howell prob start the season being used in high leverage situations.

Grilli, Smith and Howell prob start the season being used in high leverage situations. That would make sense but it's not how Gibby manages. He's all about the designated inning and role. I fully expect Grilli to be used like a capital C Closer.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 This is very concerning. My guess is Grilled Cheese is the closer for now. At least we have a couple of guys who have been successful closers in the past to hold us over...
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Whats wrong with him Osuna on DL Cervical spasm i.e. something wrong with his neck
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 I hate when my cervix spasms. http://mrwgifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Dont-Make-That-Face-You-Love-It-Anna-Kendrick.gif
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 rip Never sold on him. Hope he recovers.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Use Biagini as the closer, trust me.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Use Biagini as the closer, trust me. And who will pitch to make sure leads get to Biagini.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Never sold on him. Hope he recovers. Never sold on who? Osuna? Lol
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Our bullpen looks so bad without Osuna. Unfortunately everyone knew something was wrong. They sold me on him experimenting with a 2 seam fastball as what could be leading to the velocity change. This organization won't admit to anything.
keggy Verified Member Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Osuna on DL Cervical spasm i.e. something wrong with his neck This is the medical term for a neck muscle strain. Often caused by simple things such as a strenuous workout, pore posture, etc. It could be the consequence of a more serious downstream injury to the shoulder but this is unlikely.
