Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I'm f***ing crying.. Thanks cyber friends
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Matt Vasgersian in shambles. 7 unanswered runs since he dropped the Murica on the world.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 That was pretty much the perfect scenario. Stroman pitches great and the States lose.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 This is an impressive Puerto Rico team.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Either that stadium is really small or Lindor is flashing some mad power.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Apparently the attendance for the USA vs DR game was the highest ever at Marlins Park. Just shows that the WBC could be successful if more stars decided to play.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Just got back from the USA Domincan game. I've been to all the Blue Jays playoff games the last 2 years and a bunch of great regular season games but that game was definitely up there. I'd say top 3 with only the Wildcard and ALDS game 5 topping it and thats as a Jays fan. 100% was the loudest game I've been to. The DR fans are awesome.

I think it has more to do with the fact that the Marlins kinda suck, and Florida is the worst state in general for Baseball attendance.

I definitely enjoyed watching from home. Great game all around. Latin/European fans in general seem to be a different breed.

Latin/European fans in general seem to be a different breed. I find the big difference is the Latin American teams cheer super loud in anticipation while Can/USA fans cheer based on the results. It would have been cool to see the support for Cuba and Puerto Rico had they played in Miami. Saw a ton of Puerto Rico hats in the crowd during the weekend.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 We are starting Dempster tomorrow lmfao. Can we please not play that game. Have mercy on us. We are like f***ing Belarus in a hockey tournament. Safe to say Canada rotation is nothing more than a Dempster fire?

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Colombia ties the Dominican. If they pull off the upset, it will set up an interesting spoiler scenario for the U.S. / Canada. Also Fernando Rodney should not be the Dominican closer. He's one of their worst relievers.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Isn't Familia their closer? And they used Colome last night too.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Isn't Familia their closer? And they used Colome last night too. Right. It was the 8th not the 9th. Rodney's still too high on the pecking order though.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Jose noodles it in. Amazing pick and tag by Castillo. Wow.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Columbia really f***ed up that inning. Gave Robles a free out by trying to bunt when he couldn't throw a strike to save his life. Great throw by Bautista.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Over 37K fans...... 20k dominicans Gringos doesn't like wbc More like 35K dominicans. I was at the game and felt like I was in a different country.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Ugh the ump becoming full of himself at the worst time. Clearly the players were just passionate, give them a f***ing break instead of acting the like big man and ejecting everyone upon contact. Absolutely ridiculous.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Also did everyone catch when Matt Vasgersian said that Bautista "isn't blessed with the best throwing arm out of LF", uhhh that's all that his defense relied on for the majority of his career lmao. Did he just learn about Jose Bautista?
Superdood Verified Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 This is like playoff baseball, beats the s*** out of spring ball. Love it! Great games through the entire first round.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Anyone have the reply of the throw? i missed it.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Bautista threw a guy out? Did he 2 hop it or was it vintage Bautista ???

If you bump the ump you deserve to be ejected
