Notable - Eduardo Nunez makes the list, a player that many people see as a fit for the Jays. But on the wrong side of 30, if Nunez has any kind of dropoff in speed or contact, he could easily become a replacement level sinkhole of a contract, like we previously saw with Maicer Izturis.

Hard to be super scared of signing a guy for 2-ish years at low dollars. He isn't projected to cost a ton. Fits for the Jays because he can play all over the diamond, especially at SS and 2B with our injury concerns. He could bust (as could any low end FA), but I'd still be interested in him.

I'm interested to see how the market develops. If it ends up being in the 2/20 range, I'm cool with that, but with his whole "versatility" aspect, he's a fit on a lot of teams, so we could see the bidding raise his price a bit. If it gets to a 3 or even 4 year deal in the 30+mil range, then that's a hard no. Also, I definitely wouldn't consider him an option at SS - he's been a butcher there his whole career, with UZR/150 of -18.3. 2B/3B/corner OF would definitely be handy though.

Just because he'd provide similar versatility. Has Brett Lawrie made any suggestion he's going to try to play baseball ever again?

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Tulo, Travis and Nuñez in the same roster could be really awful

Ray Verified Member Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 If we could somehow get Cesar Hernandez from the Phils, that would be fantastic.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 I put him on ignore. Feels good, man. I did too, until the pinned thread of the Doc. I've ignored responses and the obvious trolling, but no one does anything about it. Our Mods are pussies man... Hurl can't do anything cause he sticks by his word. Can someone just ban this sack of s***? This tool bag knows that because of the Doc thread he's getting more rope from the mods and people posting here than he normally would so he's acting like even more of a tool bag than usual. The tone of his posts don't bug me. Don't like it, just skip over it. It's the volume that is a piss off. Whole pages of certain threads are dedicated to his nonsense now.

BTS Community Moderator Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Holy f*** this offseason has sucked. Last week of November and the only move of note is Ryon Healy for Emilio Pagan. Stanton and Ohtani are holding everything up.

Ramon Laureano got traded to Oakland, and the Yankees got a couple of interesting prospects in Juan Then and JP Sears from the Mariners for 40-man cuts. Are you not entertained?

The Winter Meetings are like 3 weeks away still, you need to relax otherwise Opening Day is gonna seem to never come.

I’ve never seen an offseason start this slow.
