Goes to show you how much the stock of Glasnow and Hutch have fallen...

Edit - Williams posted a smooth 7.82 ERA last year.

Trevor Williams was drafted in the second round by the Marlins in 2013, in one of the weirder trades in recent history. He was traded for Richard Mitchell, which seemed pretty uneven given Williams' proximity to the majors and his draft pedigree. It turns out that the trade was actually partially compensation for the Marlins added special assistant Jim Benedict to their front office from Pittsburgh.

Torreyes likely starting for the Yanks this year? This doesn't seem wise.

Well it's only a one month DL replacement and who else would you have had them use?

What about Starlin and Refsnyder at 2B?

Refsnyder can't field for s***. The Yankess have pretty much given up on him.

If I were mean-spirited, I'd pull up a bunch of old Boxy posts where I called Ref a utility player and he fought me tooth & nail.

Pretty sure I'm on record as wanting to give Chone Figgions 80+ million and that I liked the Vernon Wells extension.

I suspect Grant would disagree.

When I say "we're all" I'm only referring to the lowly common people.

I loved the idea of Figgins. I thought his plate discipline and great defense gave him a high floor even if his speed fell off a bit a few years into the deal.

pretty sure I called Eric Thames the black Eric Hinske.

And I was right until he went to KBO. We'll see this season what he'll bring to the table :)

Matz won't throw for at least three weeks, which means he's probably out until at least late May.

Lugo, who was competing for the 5th SP position for the Mets is now competing for the last BP slot with Montero.

Twins assign Park in the minors to have Robbie Grossman as their DH. Seems really stupid lol.

Twins gunna Twins.

It's because Kennys Vargas has a foot injury that isn't serious enough to require a 10 day dl stint, and Park isn't on the 40.

Park still deserved to make the team with how good of a spring he had. Wonder if another team will trade for him.

The Twins probably care more about developing Vargas for their future rather than accomodating a player that no other team wanted who had a hot ST.

Solution to their problems: tell Mauer that he's a catcher again. Vargas and Park split 1B/DH.

I think he's had so many difficulties with concussions that it's basically 1B/DH or retirement. Catching isn't an option.

Ah, that makes sense. I didn't remember what his injuries were.

I thought it was chronic leg stuff? Either way

Could be leg injuries on top of it but he blurred vision for two years after a concussion in 2013.

Looks like concussions is the party line and chronic leg issues is the irresponsible speculation.
