Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Ending the Red Sox streak, ending the Cubs streak! Theo is now a lock for HOF...only question for me is whether he is the greatest GM ever. He should take on a real challenge like the Athletics or Rays
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Wonder where this guy is now? All the people in that pic were found (I'm not sure about Michael Lee) the poor girls in the pic got ripped into on Social Media for their 1993 look
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Zobrist is MVP... Weird But totally deserved. Ben Zobrist is great.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 As a man of his word, I owe you a brew. A Rogers Centre Brew I believe
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 But totally deserved. Ben Zobrist is great. This.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 He should take on a real challenge like the Athletics or Rays Replacing Beane and actually winning would be incredible.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Maddon should have been this lost during games 6 and 7. Senile managing and all, I'd still suck his dick.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Thought Bryant might get it. Zobrist has been great though.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I can't believe the season is over. This was seemingly the fastest season I can remember to date. The older you get the faster they go by.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 The older you get the faster they go by. Totally.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Hazel Mae interviews Bill Murray who is baked out of his mind.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Don't interview Murray at this point. Tomorrow fine.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Hazel just asked Bill Murray the "what was going through your mind" question and ended by congratulating him and telling him he deserved it.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 So happy for the Cubs and their fans. What a great game to cap off their first win in 108 years. Considering the circumstances and what was at stake, that has gotta go down as one of the best games in sports history imo.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 It's amazing the way Zaun views every pitch which is hit as a mistake.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Hazel just asked Bill Murray the "what was going through your mind" question and ended by congratulating him and telling him he deserved it. I like the way he said it wasn't all him.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I like the way he said it wasn't all him. I came close Kev... I called everything right, but the time. I'm soooooo happy!!!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Zobrist is MVP... Weird Just such a good player. Took that 2B with 2 strikes the other way. I wish we would have signed him this past off season. SH who makes a lot of contact that can play anywhere. What a game. Was hoping for CLE but happy for the Cubs who did it the hard way.
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 You couldn't have scripted a better ending to this baseball season. So amazing. Gonna be a great offseason!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I came close Kev... I called everything right, but the time. I'm soooooo happy!!! you didn't even get the day right in the end.
admin Site Manager Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Damn, wanted Cubs to lose and Maddon get eaten alive. Now everyone will forget his stupidity.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Starting with the D-Backs ending the Yankee dynasty run in 2001, 11 separate franchises have held a World Series title: Angels Cardinals (2) Cubs D-Backs Giants (3) Red Sox (3) Marlins Phillies Royals White Sox Yankees 18 teams have made at least one WS appearance over the same span (counting the Yankees in 01): Angels Astros Cardinals (4) Cubs D-Backs Giants (4) Indians Red Sox (3) Marlins Mets Phillies (2) Rangers (2) Rays Rockies Royals (2) Tigers (2) White Sox Yankees (3) The first half of this decade was basically dominated by the Giants and Cardinals though.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 That was a great game. It was a great series. Terrific for baseball. Now, if Rogers would just open their wallet a little bit.
CBlake Verified Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 It's a Bush Party in Chicago !! Hope Buck and Hazel were able to interview him.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 The only thing bad about the Cubs winning is Vince Vaughn being happy.
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 August Fagerstrom @AugustFG_ 10m10 minutes ago Cleveland, OH Theo Epstein, leading a chant of "f*** yeah boys!" just bumrushed security to run out on Progressive Field in the rain with his front office This is amazing
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Lindor is a stud, what a great player/dude in general.
CBlake Verified Member Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Any pics of the Bush Party with the World Series Trophy yet ?
