AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 I hope the Indians win solely to extend the curse, that would be too funny. Kipnis has a good chance of missing game 1 from an ankle injury he sustained celebrating in game 5 of the ALCS (lol). Salazar is back though and if I had to guess how he will be used it'll probably be alongside Clevinger or Ryan "JAYS SLAYER" Merritt for the eventual bullpen game. Generally, with curses, if you bother to work through the numerology, you can calculate the length of time it will remain in effect after the curse bestower's death. It depends somewhat on his primal ordinates, but otherwise, it's very unlikely that the curse is still in effect. Based on his full name, birth date, and city of birth, I calculate only a 3.2% chance that the curse is still in effect.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 What about winning it only thing more embarrassing is being a co-manager in it.
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Bartman has all his fingers and toes crossed... Poor guy. Unbelievable that there are people still pissed off at him and making threats against him. The incident had very little to do with the Cubs losing that game, it was the Cubs team that lost the game. Also the guy next to Bartman had his arms out trying to catch the ball too as I'm sure many fans would just react similarity if they were in the same position. Shameful that there are still some Cubs fans who blame him.

They've slaughtered a few goats over the years and left their heads lying around in order to get around the goat curse too.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Pretty ironic that this happened to Kipnis after his comments about Bauer cutting his finger lol. Grade 2 just from that? Jeeze. And yeah, he's gonna be a liability in the field and at the plate for sure, all series.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Hoofta. Eversion sprains are much more serious than inversion ones. Could've been even worse!
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Coglan starting over Heyward Game 1.
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 This is going to be an awesome series.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 This Kipnis injury could play a huge role in the series. Terrible luck
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Nice to hear some competent announcers for once.. though I wonder if Buck is drunk tonight like he is with the Jays broadcasts..
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Wow buck is doing the world series
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 So how come we get Devlin/Buck for the WS but couldn't get them for Jays games?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Holy f***. Buck is doing the WS? Fail
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 You lose with both broadcasts, pick your poison, Joe Buck or Buck Martinez.
Fastball21 Verified Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Just got in from work, Buck Martinez is calling the World Series?
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Holy f***. Buck is doing the WS? Fail I'm guessing it's for Canadian viewers. It's him and Devlin

HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Big spot for Lester early on.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Lester seems to be reeling from the allegations he drove home drunk after the ALCS celebration...
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 That was so Royals. I seethed a bit watching that.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 The Indians are just unfairly good. Damn, hope Shapiro can build a team like that in Toronto.
