Why is Ray taking so much flack for that list? Probably only get one of Blevins or Logan, and the FO isn't going to give up a pick for Fowler. But make a trade for a controllable OF, sign another decent one and sign Matt Holliday 1/12. It's not that far fetched and certainly a reasonable wish list.

Exactly lol. We won't sign Fowler but at most hes looking at what 4 years 80M. Holliday isn't going to get a ton probably a 1 or 2 year deal. Your trading for Eaton who is on a bargain contract and 3 middle relievers one of which is a loggy....

I mean, we're probably in the running for Fowler as it is with Reddick gone. It's not like us signing him is impossible. $60-75 million over 4-5 years seems like it might get it done to get him. I recognize that a lot of teams want him, but it's not out of the realm of possibility we land him.

 

Maybe landing both Blevins and Boone is unrealistic. Rather Blevins and then try to get Brad Zieglar for a little cheaper anyways. That's not terribly unrealistic. Fill up the rest of the bullpen with Benoit and maybe bring up Conner Greene as a bullpen guy like they did with Sanchez in 2014.

 

White Sox are rebuilding. Is Adam Eaton really that unrealistic a target? If we trade Stroman and maybe 1-2 top prospects, you can land him. Eaton is controllable on a team friendly deal until 2021. He's well worth it. In the mean time, stretch out Biagini as a starter. Yeah this'll make our rotation weaker, but a top 3 of Sanchez-Happ-Estrada is still very very good.

If he accepts a relatively low cost deal, sure why not.

 

He'll need to prove he still has it, so could be open to a 1 year deal at <$2m.

I was just thinking him and Upton would be good in Left together. He could be a good buy low guy that could help fill a hole and save money for other positions.
